With “Jordan and the jam_bot: a work-in-progress performance,” acclaimed keyboardist @jcrudess brought his signature blend of innovation and virtuosity to the Media Lab, showcasing a unique blend of human and machine improvisation. The performance was the public debut of an AI model called the jam_bot, which Rudess developed with researchers from the Media Lab’s Responsive Environments group. During the concert, the jam_bot engaged in a musical dialogue with Rudess and violinist Camilla Bäckman. Art+Engineering 3rd-year @PerryNaseck has become unusually good friends with @creativeinquiry’s HP7475a, even learning to repair it. Here, he used it to plot frames of a fluid simulation, with fluorescent inks, and also explored densely overlapping colors.

Art+Engineering @CMU_BXA student @PerryNaseck discovered that our HP7475A supports an HPGL command to make filled wedges (...presumably, for pie charts). His pattern is exclusively made of them, and uses fluorescent & metallic inks.

@adafruit I got Pogo Pin Probe Clips (part 1969) to use with SWD pins on FeatherM0Proto, QTPySAMD21, NeoTrinkey, and etc, but the clips can't get close to each other and don't safely clip double sided boards (twist or slide or don't grip). Is there a better reconfigurable probe?

@willsmith also, depending on your system, you might need some bloody work on SecureBoot. Might help to turn it off or put it in learn mode

@willsmith do a complete disk clone with CloneZilla. Boot it once to ensure it works & disk repair to be safe. Expand with Gparted & repair.
