@EirikIverson @BaronDestructo Ben Cotton does really follow up in his roles for playing 'jerks', I'd say. Most notably in Resident Alien in recent series.
Surely it wasn't that hard for him to get in-character for Kavanagh. I personally love his performance as him!

Not main cast, but he was in season 1. This one intrigues me still. The character is easily loathed yet the actor himself is the opposite, as I learned after Atlantis.

Was the actor unknown to all of you when casting him? I suspect casting such a likable person for such an unlikable role might be challenging. Or, do you guys readily compartmentalize such the personality of the actor does not interfere with your perception of the actor’s audition?
