@NatalieFleetMP A gun was used and a member of then public injured. That swayed the Home Secretary of the day. Even so, the general public at the time was opposed to the execution for the reasons stated by Lammy. The pardon is the right decision imho.
@AsplinKevin Parliament has set its own rules for centuries. The allegation is that Farage has breached the Code of Conduct. Different to alleging breach of law.
Ed Davey just claimed on Sky News that Nigel Farage has “been found breaking the rules.”
That's simply not true.
The parliamentary investigation into Farage's finances has not yet concluded.
No final finding has been made.
Saying someone has already been found guilty before the investigation is complete is misleading.
Sky News should have challenged that claim instead of letting it pass uncorrected.
