@Gingerblast On a smaller level, this is similar to how Vampyr uses difficulty to force hard moral choices. To become powerful, you must feed on the desperate. If you do, the game is trivial. If you do not, the game is INCREDIBLY difficult. Best mechanic/narrative tie-in I've played.
@SandyofCthulhu I thought that was the point. The owlbear has never been the scariest monster, nor the most threatening. It's the coydog of D&D: a wizard's experiment that wandered off and found an ecological niche. It's cool because, in terms of threat, it feels like an animal, not a monster.
@ISniffElonsMusk@sircalebhammer Homes aren't an asset to the middle class. If your home is useful as a financial asset rather than the place you live, you are no longer middle class. It's not like you're going to liquidate or as part of your retirement.
@AtheistTakes "One of the most well-recorded..." You know immediately that have no idea what they're talking about. There are no in-period records for ANY biography before Jesus, and professional biographies ALWAYS skipped what happened before someone was famous.
@nocontextmemes Good meme, but I'm actually super proud of how I got my wife's ring size. I wrapped my thumb and forefinger around her ring finger while we were holding hands, noted where the fingers met, and measured the distance later. I thought it was obvious, but she didn't notice.
@de5imulate@fiendformojitos I say that as someone who's been following Knight's Path's development for a while and is looking forward to seeing more historical games.
@Botted_Likes To be fair, this is actually what happened. KCD is probably the most historically informed franchise out there, and you have to go *out of your way* for the gay interactions as a result.
@IvanaDGreco Also, sometimes they get themselves so worked up that they NEED to cry and scream for 15-20 minutes before they can be comforted. If you can't comfort them, put them down, take a break, eat a snack, and come back to try again.
@Alaric_iii@DelusionPosting Okay, but is a system that puts Czechs in the same category as Italians even remotely accurate? "White" is just a term people of English and German descent made up so the Irish and Poles they were screwing over would be on their side instead of the blacks. It's a made up category
@n0tf0rpr0fit1@DelusionPosting Caucasian refers to a specific group of people from the Caucasus region. Sub-Saharan African isn't an ethnicity; it's a connection of ethnicities.
@DelusionPosting Of course you can genetically tell what race someone is, considering the only criteria for race in most people's mind is melanin production, which is entirely genetic.
@DelusionPosting I don't think race is a legitimate category of persons; I find that ethnicity is more scientifically sound and culturally relevant. To my mind, the only "black" people are descendents of slaves who lost their original culture, and "white" doesn't exist. This takes is dumb, though
