We have all been fixed to the news and fascinated and horrified in equal measure by the chaos. But what does it mean for treatment and recovery policy-making? The short answer is we don't know yet. Some observations follows:
Great to see so many organisations come together at today's Drug Summit hosted by @NHS_APA & @collect_voice
Some much-needed conversations are taking place, about how we can work together to help those experiencing #addiction.
We are in executive terms a small charity (it's just me and @pjkeeling91!) but through our alliance members, our board, our ace chair @LeaMilligan our key collaborators inc. @esucgroup@AdfamUK@NHS_APA@CollegeofLEROs we are able to work taller and speak louder.
Really important discussions at today's Drug Related Deaths Summit with third sector and @NHS_APA leaders
Many thanks to all who joined, particularly those who so powerfully shared their lived experience.
Today we launch our new three-year strategy, setting out how we will act as advocate, convener and
collaborator to tackle the complex issues facing our field and the people we support

Very glad to see @cjalliance still fighting the good fight on ensuring that controversial police powers like s.60 stop and search adhere to the evidence base on reducing violence.
Still waiting for the Home Office to explain why it removed safeguards in 2019.
Police super-complaints: A new spotlight on old problems.
Thank you @PolicingInsight for publishing my first ever detailed feature article, looking at super-complaints through the lens of @cjalliance's ongoing battle to improve stop and search scrutiny.

Some really exciting news from us at @collect_voice! As we continue our journey and develop as a charity we are recruiting for three new independent trustees to join the board. Drop me a message if you'd like to chat and pls share. https://t.co/aBOh1O4IKA
Busy first day in my new role as Senior Policy Officer at @collect_voice
Lots of exciting things going on in drug and alc policy, and great to be continuing working with the brilliant @OliverStanding and our inspiring members
After a decade of funding cuts, significant investment in addiction treatment is desperately needed.
I will follow specific policy announcements closely and continue to push Ministers to deliver all of the @DameCarolBlack review recommendations.

Did you know #naloxone can reverse an opioid overdose? If someone does overdose it’s vital to act fast, call for an ambulance immediately and if possible use the opioid antidote, naloxone, which can save lives #EndOverdose@OverdoseDay https://t.co/6JiB1u8Wu3
