Ryan mate, with respect, your comment of "too long" is unfounded.
Please take as long as you need, because I have found your indepth info is valuable and infectious.
Your interview yesterday with Rob Alan was superb, and a case in point❣️
Take a leaf out of Rogan and Steve of Diary of a CEO. Those blokes do two hour+ podcasts and it works for them.
Dear Ron,
Thanks for the kind thoughts and best wishes.
I have not seen such comments levelled at Mr. Thompson, but agree 100% that one should not walk by such underhanded and insensative imputations. No matter one's political leanings, nobody should be subject to such ridicule.
Anyway, I hope you have a great day and hope to chatagain soon.
Warmest regards
Peter
Good to hear from you again, Peter. Sounds promising re the Douglas case. Massive effort. Well done! We're on the same page re a new grouping capable of forming government and retaining a measure of independence. I suspect with the leadership of the current proposal which is intended to repel ON, it would have the effect of saving LNP from extinction and so shore up the current 2 party system, so useful to ALP, also. I'd like to see leadership from Independents with backgrounds that suggest capacity for the work of government and capacity and willingness to govern for all people. I'm very pleased more people than 4-5 years ago are understanding the current 2 party system is hopelessly dysfunctional. Voters are being disenfranchised by ALP/LNP bipartisanship which poses major risks in areas such as defence and foreign policy. Hope all's going well for you and yours now, including health. M
G'day Barnsey,
Unfortunately, the phyical health stakes have worsened, but that hasn't stop me in my tracks quite yet. There's still truth and justice needed for the remaining 32,000 totally and permanently incapacitated public sector invalidity recipients, 10,000 of whom are Veterans not covered by Douglas.
Your analysis of the dysfunction of the two party system is spot on and shared by many. The emergence of ON with the inflitration by LNP has-beens will be nothing more than the same I feel.
I think there is already an extremely talented number of Senators & MPs within the ranks of the embryonic 'CIR'. I don't believe that the forming of CIR will compromise their true core values of remaining staunchly independent. Such a system would be quite refreshing I feel.
With many thanks to our forefathers who devised a sound Constitution and parliamentary system, then I think there are enough parlimentary checks and balances to ensure that a strong Independent PM could not inadvertantly stack the deck for just his/her own electorate, at the expense of what is equally needed for the rest of the country. I couldn't imagine this at all in fact, with the current encumbents. From my perspective they are truly dedicated to the whole of Australia I feel.
With the right mix of compelling policies, then I could easily see CIR be a force to be reckoned with at the next election, and beyond.
However, no matter who wins, then there is one matter that needs urgent attention - a matter that you yourself have alluded too, and that is, the clean up the systemic corruption that I have personally witnessed over the last 6 years, not only in polotical ranks, but more so, in various elements of our Public Service. I say this with conviction and regret, as a former senior Commonwealth Officer myself.
Anyway, it has been good to catch up, and I hope we will be able to engage a bit more frequently from now on.
Sincerely
Peter
G'day old mate,
Sorry for the radio silence of late, but I have been super busy between a lot of lie downs in the ART; a matter that was only concluded at Final Hearing yesterday in fact.
Anyway, please check out my comments on 'Hannah The Tax Adviser's' Youtube channel. 👇

The tax policy is illogical for all the reasons given, but a sustained decline in prices will be inevitable anyway, because Australia's replacement rate of 1.42 children / child bearing woman will not be enough to stem the tide of increased supply as baby boomers fall off the perch.
Anyway, hope this finds you well, mate.
Sincerely
Peter
@kevinolearytv Kev, love the Amania suite. So, where can I buy a pair of those delectable pink thongs / flip flops from, please, mate? 😍😘

G'day J,
Well, not sure about you mate, but Lubin's explanation sounds bit like store brought soup filled with cheap spagghetti code. But he now suggests that a pinch of some engineering salt will make it more palatable. 🤔
From where I sit, as a retired technologist, well there's just no substitute for good architecture that that was thought out properly from the very start, and that was shrewdly implemented on its own Layer 1 blockchain.
@FlareNetworks , @FlareDevHub ... to the rescue!
Cheers
Peter

@TimjboAU Simples ... the Opposition should of reverted to using the word "prevaricator(s)" instead. The question would have landed in Albo's lap before the Speaker had a chance to reach for his dictionary 🙄🤔🤗😎

G'day Tim,
Thanks for your contribution. You may very well be right, mate.
However, I would draw your attention to a recent court jugdement in the State of Victoria here in Australia where the Magistrate ruled that Bitcoin was effectively "money" in form qmd function, and so, it is not to be subject to tax. Please see here: 👇

This then raises for careful consideration, on the back of the SEC's recent ruling, as to whether or not other L1 currency types such as XRP, XLM, HBAR, ALGO, XCD and the like, are also indeed currencies, and therefore, they by default should not be subject to tax either.
I am sure I am not alone in thinking that this very important question requiries an answer from the very best legal minds in this space, and I am sure I am not aline in thinking that Bill Morgan is one such preeminent legal expert.
I hope Bill would proffer such an opinion, if he would be so kind to be inclined to do so, please.
Anyway, thanks again for your engagement, which is greatly appreciated, mate.
Sincerely
Peter
Will these ADF personnel be your first priority 5-20 years hence when they and their unborn kids develop uncommon diseases and suicidal depression due to their exposure to the chemicals of this war? Will their Disability pensions be taxed fairly as compensation which it is, rather than as income? @JulieAnnFinney2@PeterThornton63@StuartMcCarthy_
G'day the Lad of Brad,
Unfortunately, and I may be wrong here, but Flare's technical doco suggests that a transfer still takes place on the XRP Ledger, where a transfer of your tokens is held in escrow / vault elsewhere on the Ledger.
I have continually asked if they could just escrow and lock the agreed amount on one's own ledger address, but @FlareNetworks silence has been deafening.
So, in all probability, it would probably constitute CGT trigger event I'm afraid, mate.
Hope this helps ...
Cheers
Peter
