@hafuma Scripture says spouses should not deprive one another except by mutual agreement and only for a short time, so they are not tempted to sin.
However, I don't agree that verse should be used as a weapon. Sex in marriage is meant to be given, not taken by force.

Europe as we know it, with its spiritual and moral heritage, is rooted in the lives and work of men and women who lived, preached, and shared the teachings of the Gospel. From this heritage, the moral foundations of the world in which we live have been handed down to us: principles such as the primacy of the person and the sacred and inviolable nature of human life; the protection of freedom; the primary importance of the family; care for the poor and those most in need; welcoming the stranger; and respect for the elderly. #ApostolicJourney #France
Father Adrian Mantykiewicz, who was injured in a stabbing attack at a Polish monastery that killed another priest, celebrated Mass two days later with his head and hand bandaged. In his homily, he said he forgives the attacker and urged people to pray for him, especially for the grace of conversion.
That's not what your Hadiths say.
"Verily Islam started as something strange and it would again revert (to its old position) of being strange just as it started, and it would recede between the two mosques just as the serpent crawls back into its hole." — Sahih Muslim 146
