My heart has not stopped racing from the second I heard these scores were out. This has been a literal dream of mine and to say I’m grateful that I can add BCOP to the end of my name is an understatement. 🥲🥹
Hello again @Cigna, back again to express my frustrations with your pharmacy authorizations. Two days in a row now that I have been on hold for an hour, finally got through, then call was disconnected. Extremely frustrating especially when my patients need a medication ASAP.
Staff that take care of patients in the outpatient setting deserve to be paid for their work. #HB1215 would take away the only source of income that pays them. #coleg

Hey @Cigna- what are we doing lately ?! Literally so many issues for my cancer patients. They can’t wait WEEKS to get authorization for medications. Just was on hold for an hour then immediately was disconnected after I finally got through. Can’t ever find right # to call either
And that’s why I love this field. My patients are some of the most resilient people I’ve ever met and I’m continuously inspired by them. So so lucky to work in this field🥲
Every time I tell someone I work in oncology they normally say something like “oh wow that must be so sad.” And yes, a lot of times it is. But I also get to see patients improve with treatments, live their lives fully the way they want despite the cancer, and celebrate the wins.
Here’s your reminder to be nice to your colleagues even when they don’t know absolutely everything.
(Sincerely, Me, who can’t always give a definitive answer immediately (WHICH I’VE ACCEPTED TO BE AS OK) and is easily brought down when providers are mean because of it)
I was literally just talking about this today and how it’s the weirdest feeling ever and something I’m not at all used to. But also very, very refreshing.
Post-residency life is literally the most BIZARRE feeling. I legitimately have nothing to do for work when I come home…… no topics to prepare for… no PowerPoints to make. It’s so freaking weird but I love it
Highly recommend repeating a rotation late in the year that you initially did very early on in your residency year. It’s very rewarding seeing how far you have come and how much easier things are.
