@1andonlykingp @JSG3_ Also, the idea of comparing to other sports is ridiculous. NFL is star driven, so the Brady or Mahomes teams have won a lot. NBA is too but their salary rules broke up Warriors run to some extent, only really maximizing the team before Klay's max in 2020 (3 / 4 titles before it)

@1andonlykingp @JSG3_ Why is 2000 consequential for this discussion? Also, that repeat winner was the Yankees who were the previous poster-team for why people wanted salary cap. In 2020, Mookie signed with $115M deferred. Since then, Dodgers deferred money has grown to $1B+ and they won 50% of WS.

@HawkEmDownChris The way it's worded, it's Bo. But Jackson, Griffey Jr, and Orr are known for their accomplishments on the field (plus in Tecmo Bowl). You think of their success first, injury second. Derrick Rose is most famous for his injuries. His legacy is injuries first, MVP second.

If they are debating between $10M and a number less than $12M, team likely wouldn't let it get to offer sheet.

Less than a foot that far from home is fraction of a degree in bat angle, slight change in pitch break, wind, etc. It isn't random chance, but it is driven by minor variations in outside circumstances.
