St Philip Neri (1515β1595), known as the βApostle of Rome,β was a joyful priest who guided people with kindness, prayer, and humor. Founder of the Oratory, he inspired holiness through friendship, charity, and deep love for Christ, especially among the young and the poor.
This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and pray for the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. πΊπΈπ
May we never take for granted the sacrifices made for the freedoms we enjoy today. We pray in gratitude for those who served with courage and honor, and for the families who continue to carry their memory in their hearts.
As people of faith, may we also ask God to bring comfort to the grieving, peace to our world and eternal rest to the fallen. β¨
βGreater love has no one than this: to lay down oneβs life for oneβs friends.β β John 15:13
