@PghPennStateDad Deferrals can be a great deal for players looking to plan their taxes out and agents looking to make a splash with a higher number. The market would likely get closer to the actual NPV of the contract. In other words Ohtani would probably have a contract closer to $500 million.
@ChampsPapa1015 The NBA salary cap is hard for me to understand, but this deal should not impact the cap this offseason since they won't sign this deal until after they use up their cap space.
