@Art444Star The in-universe explanation doesn’t work too well when other human-built systems lack guardrails (see Ep 1 death pit) but I do think it’s more simple to say “people in Star Wars value workplace safety less than 21st century westerners”
Woke 2.0 seems to be when you believe all the same "woke 1.0" idiotic beliefs but with a sleazy layer of plausible deniability and a willingness to throw your old friends under the bus for being "too weird and extreme" if it's momentarily socially advantagous
@RupertLowe10 The global West needs to handle this problem in such a manner that people will speak about it in hushed tones for a thousand years.
Generational deterrence is rapidly becoming the only hope for effectively handling this issue.
At some point we have to address the fact that the UK is a nuclear-armed former ally turned hostile regime controlled by secular progressive communism at the administrative level and Hindu/Islamic slumlaw at the ground level. Genuinely makes more sense to invade the UK than Iran.
I feel terrible for all the Blue Origin people (and relieved no one was hurt) but no lie, this is one of the greatest explosions I've ever seen. VFX departments are study and imitate it for years to come. Michael Bay is somewhere saying "Damn, not bad."
@fleshsimulator No it’s not. There’s only one or two more paragraphs of reasoning between this and shooting up an elementary school or bombing hospitals. Peterson was right about this trait, but he was wrong to confine it to Leftism when it pervades so many other atrocities.
@drouthtracker88 This is X, the everything app. People rarely engage in anything good faith beyond reading bios, which I suspect plays a part in this particular instance
