Candidate for Seattle City Council, District 2. District 2 deserves a leader that has faced the same trials and tribulations as the residents who live here!
Ready. Set. Vote! Your ballots and voter guides should have arrived in the mail. Remember to complete and return by August 6th (and encourage your friends to do so too). #p2ford2#electphyllisporter
Thank You Near and Far!
“A simple thank you has magic...it warms the heart and creates a moment of connection and peace between two people.” You have brought that connection to me!

I connected with @TammyMoralesSEA and @VoteMarkSolomon during the last 24 hours and congratulated them on their Primary election victory. I also connected with two of the remaining constituents on a job well done and plan on touching base with the remainder.
@StumpToEmerald@D2Phyllis Phyllis absolutely is a voice we need in leadership in this city. She genuinely knows the needs of the people and she has already taken action to elevate those central issues for positive changes. Respect. I hope we see more of her.
While I'm to the left of (@D2Phyllis) Phyllis Porter politically I wanted to say that she deserves credit for being the only African American woman who ran in the entire City Council election this cycle. She shared her personal stories as a single mom trying to make ends meet.
@StumpToEmerald@D2Phyllis I thank Phyllis Porter @PhyllisP2forD2 for running. I was disappointed to see the early voting results, but even w/o advancing to the general, Phyllis brought a lot of important issues into the primary.
Today, the great folks at Emerald City Commons, part of Urban Impact, cancelled their staff meeting to come to Elections HQ to register and vote. Thanks for making your voices heard! #kcvotes
Last weekend’s Bike & Brunch was a great way to connect with supporters by cycling through South Seattle, viewing sites like the trolley stop, and riding along the Chief Sealth Trail. Thanks to everyone who participated!

My cousin and supporter WJ donated $100 of his FREE Democracy Vouchers to me this week by following the instructions below! Thanks Will!

Doesn’t cost you anything if you are a Seattle resident...FREE!!
We are less than one week away from the primary election and asking you to help get me over the threshold.
Go ahead and donate that free $100 and mark your ballot.
@TrueNkenge And a few years ago, I co-wrote this report about bike infrastructure, race & class. Lots of brainy folks with varied/nuanced views featured here including @CivilBikes, @PhyllisP2forD2, @AlbusBrooks, others https://t.co/CPvNdPs5GN
With Seattle primaries less than 2 weeks away, I would love an extra “push” in the form of you:
* Volunteering to canvass
* Attending Sunday’s Bike & Brunch
* Donating your democracy vouchers towards my campaign
* Contributing financially (you can now donate up to $500)
