@lip_surfer@gjm1508@AshPolitik@AlboMP@JEChalmers The labor government made this available to young, vulnerable home buyers. Over 300,000 used it to get into an inflated market. Labor then lied in election promises before introducing changes that directly hammer that market. Its disgraceful
@lip_surfer@gjm1508@AshPolitik@AlboMP@JEChalmers They never used to have such low equity in them. The same government that allowed them to rush in and buy with 5% deposit, lied to them before pushing through a budget which will lower the price of their asset to the point they will likely be in negative equity
@olsod45@SquizzSTK Thanks tom, but what hes actually doing is making small businesses pay employees more, which means they need to charge more which basically means we all pay more and the government collects more tax
@binghach@Buderim4556@Peter_Fitz The one who will be worse off is the one who has worked the hardest. When did we as Australians become ok with someone else wearing the cost?
@TheAusInstitute@MattGrudnoff@Auspol Total population and homes dont correlate 1 to 1. We have an aging population which means a higher volume of the population wants its own residence. Australia institute comes across as a stat cherry pick orginisation
@MisinfoFact How does the budget actually help young aussies buy a house? If you couldnt afford it before, all this budget does is block the paths to get there.
