I am very impressed with people who speak,read and write in multiple languages. How the heck do you remember all that? If you dont use it daily do you lose any of it??

Dr. Stephen Krashen summed it up in one sentence. "We acquire language I one way, when we get incomprehensible input in a low anxiety environment."

I am so impressed with the 4 yr old who speaks 3 languages. Children are like sponges....ready to learn anything. Children who learn a 2nd lang early are more likely to speak like natives.

If you need help, the NSC librarians are awesome. You can set up an online thing and they will help you. They give you a great deal of clarity and direction.

@AuraLynnHarris1 Aura,
Start with your broad topic and I think you will find that the research will bring resources into play that will help you narrow it down. That what I'm finding.

Surprisingly enjoyed the semantics section this week. The meaning of words and how the speaker means the words.....you know what I mean?π

Coming up with a research topic for me is not that hard. What is difficult is narrowing down that topic. Right now I'm thinking 1st and 2nd language acquisition. We will see how that breaks down into a "writeable" topicπ
