I think fundamentally, what journalism is and the sort of art of it all has been lost in this country. Not only the current political climate and the way that it’s all covered but also this Pablo situation and the reactions to it.

It’s investigative journalism that’s uncovered something that’s illegal as far as the league goes. Like this is a huge uncovering.

At its core, this is the name of the game as far as journalism goes. Good on Pablo.

I think he has one of the more perpetually enigmatic legacies in league history.

For every accomplishment, there’s an equal, if not greater sort of convoluted perspective and caveat attached.

It’s like he’s contradictory in a way.

The whole Spurs run which the high point was a ring yeah, but then divulged into a super untenable situation where his exit and everything surrounding it became and is very contentious.

The Raptors run where he had one of the greatest stretches of basketball and it resulted in a ring yeah, but you can also argue that it was one of the more (I think this is a good word to describe it) - providential runs in league history with the quadruple bounce against the Sixers in Game 7 and then the Warriors matchup where GS lost both Klay and KD.

Then the Clippers run where despite all his demands and all the grandeur, it resulted in virtually nothing except injuries, time missed, and failed expectations.…

Now, the current state of his career at age 35, with this latest situation as he heads back to Toronto to wrap up his career.

It’s truly fascinating.
