An Israeli offensive in #Rafah would mean more civilian suffering & deaths. The consequences would be devastating for 1.4 million people
@UNRWA is not evacuating: the Agency will maintain a presence in Rafah as long as possible & will continue providing lifesaving aid to people
It has been 6 months since the brutal attacks in #Israel by Hamas and other groups, in which 1,200 people were killed, many more injured and hundreds abducted. @WHO once again condemns this barbaric act of violence and demands the release of remaining hostages.
However, this atrocity does not justify the horrific ongoing bombardment, siege and health system demolition by Israel in #Gaza, killing, injuring and starving hundreds of thousands of civilians, including aid workers.
The deaths and grievous injuries of thousands of children in Gaza will remain a stain on all of humanity. This assault on present and future generations must end.
The denial of basic needs -- food, fuel, sanitation, shelter, security and healthcare -- is inhumane and intolerable.
@WHO, alongside our health and humanitarian partners, will continue to serve health workers, patients and communities in Gaza. But continued denial of access means the population's needs far exceed any aid we have been able to deliver so far.
The fact that over 70% of deaths in Gaza are women and children should be a compelling reason to halt the war.
We urge all parties to silence their guns. We appeal for peace. Now.
Imagine as a parent having to fight to get food for your child who is dying of hunger: total collapse of civil order. That’s the situation that Israel has created in Gaza. Shame on all of us for allowing this betrayal of humanity.

#Gaza#Israele#NasserHospital
People who are praising ICJ decision don't get that by telling Israel to "prevent" a genocide they are basically saying that Israel is NOT committing a genocide RIGHT NOW.
How can you prevent something that is ALREADY HAPPENING!?
ICJ should have ordered a ceasefire.
Our people in Gaza are still under bombardment, they are still facing starvation, our educational and health institutions are still not operational. Our people are still under genocide. Nothing will change that until we have a permanent CEASEFIRE.
