@OmniRich88 The big light is the running light from a commercial airliner. Atmospheric distortion probably makes it seem like it's doing things it's not as the airplane gets closer to the observer.

The Aurora Borealis put on quite a show for us tonight in North Central Mass! My camera did the heavy work here but, you could clearly see the different purple and green curtains with the naked eye.
