@derfonoid yes! it does fingers! It actually paints fingers, necks, and tails the best compared to other body parts. On this rig I haven��t polished the hand controls yet so I didn’t show it off, but next time i’ll showcase the fingers!

is script accounts for, when you deform a joint at 90 degrees, it has been giving pretty good results so far without any mass loss. Shoulders are difficult to automate, working on what can be done about that!

@Boolean_Var awesome! so it does actually use a heat map, but theirs different settings you can play around with to get a result you like! The “smart” part about it is that is accounts for mass loss when smoothing which is another setting I have
@Boolean_Var this is a script I made that when you bind joints to skin, it automatically generates these weights in one click without any manual weight painting! It will be available for early access in my discord (link in bio) soon
@jlanderson2010 haha yeah, hopefully I can make the process easier for Maya. I’m also planning out a plugin for Unreal that helps transfer Maya rigs to Unreal
@jlanderson2010 thank you! haha, I’ve been looking at Auto-Rig Pro and other plugins from Blender and it’s what makes develop tools for Maya. It works well so far for base models, however when clothing gets added it’s tricky, so i’m in active development of working on a solution for that!
