another one not understanding the system... that urgent care has contracted rates... they know lab work is paid at a % usually 60% of the billed charges higher they charge more they get... they are not charging what the actual cost of the lab is. MRI 3500 case rate they charge 7k

I recently had to go to urgent care and ended up needing some simple lab work. After insurance my co-pay is $165 and lab work is $85. Had I just paid cash my appointment would have been $160 and labs would have been $25.
