95 y/o female calls 999 & asks for the time. BT talking clock not loud enough, don’t think she’s quite understood the concept of the line being used for life & death emergencies. I should imagine someone will speak to her once again later in the year when the clocks go back .. 🤣

Am I not the only one finding it troubling how many police officers are taking their own lives recently ? I feel like I’ve read about one almost daily …….we need to talk to each other seriously #ItsOkNotToBeOk

I've seen a few posts today about the new mobile phone laws whilst driving, saying they're very strict. If you're fortunate enough to have never had to pick body parts up from a road after someone died using their phone, then you're lucky. It's not hard, put the phone away. 📱🚫

Covered the Western part of the county on late shift this evening. A vehicle that drove through roadworks and subsequently involved in a POLAC & then failed to stop following said accident was intercepted. x 3 detained and no injuries to officers - big big win 💙

On the anniversary of the murder by a police officer of Sarah Everard, please remember the animal was found by a police officer. He was arrested, interviewed and charged by a police officer, the case was led by a police officer and the evidence was presented in court by police.

@CamdenComms No problem! Unfortunately it’s all about resources these days (or lack thereof).Yes, should there have been immediate risk to life that would constitute an emergency response, and I absolutely would have sent a unit. In this instance I think she just wanted someone to hear her 💙

An hour spent on the phone with a female close to suicide, following the loss of her child. You have to be made of something for this job, but sometimes things do just tug on your heart strings. So important to talk to people 💙

@CamdenComms We are also limited with what resources we have here so often try to ‘resolve not resource’, I only did what officers would have done - which is lent an ear & signposted. This way, I kept units free for life/death emergencies & her cry for help was heard 💙 I hope this helps x

@CamdenComms Of course - We use TRIM here at work, easily accessible and we are always offered a referral after a particularly griefy job, inc call handlers, dispatchers & supervisors. Secondly, unfortunately there is incredibly limited help we can offer by me sending a unit (1)
