OWL lets police & communities engage together to make a BIG difference. Government award winner for innovation, crime reduction and empowering communities.
Makes of car vulnerable to CAN Injection attacks (also known as "emergency start") are Toyota, Lexus and Honda. Other makes may be susceptible too since CAN is an industry standard for controlling all of the electronic components in vehicles...
Car thieves are using a new technique called "CAN injection" to steal cars. They connect a small device to the cable that goes into the headlight, accessing it under the bumper, telling the car to unlock and start. The only defence is a steering wheel lock.
@MPSSouthgate Hi. The link used in your Twitter post starts with http instead of https. Please try including the 's' next time, hopefully it will work. Send a DM if you want us to look into it. Thanks.
Great results showing how effective OWL is in bringing communities together with the police. Credit to @MPSHaringey SNT officers for using OWL wisely. Residents in Haringey & Enfield can register for free at https://t.co/8hrxvMqEnX . @metpoliceuk@haringeycouncil@MOPACLdn
Do you look forward to #Halloween or dread it? Download, print and display one of our free posters in your window to show if you want trick-or-treaters to knock or leave you alone! Our designs use less ink and are easier to read when it's dark. See here: https://t.co/wJOJhgNLu3
@DogtopiaBG@thnwa@N_Watch@TowerHamletsNow Feel free to publicise your Dogtopia Fete to the Dog Watch members on OWL. Perhaps you're the same people who set it up on OWL for Tower Hamlets? In that case, as the coordinators, you can log in send a message to fellow dog owners in the area.
Fraudsters often take advantage of worrying situations. If you are looking to donate to causes to help Ukraine and neighbouring countries you should make a few simple checks before giving.

@thnwa@TowerHamletsNow@MPSTowerHam@MOPACLdn According to both Ordnance Survey and the Office for National Statistics, the ward names have not changed. Their names, at this current time, remain the same based on the latest national Government data sets. If that changes then OWL will follow shortly after.
@thnwa@TowerHamletsNow@MPSTowerHam@MOPACLdn The 20 wards you point to are exactly the same 20 used on OWL. The last official boundary review in TH is shown in full on the Local Government Boundary Commission's website https://t.co/gMW5PkQuvs Not sure what you've been looking at, but do DM a screenshot to clarify.
@thnwa@MOPACLdn@MPSTowerHam@N_Watch@TowerHamletsNow There are many volunteer coordinators in TH registered on OWL, each having the capability of sending messages to their members. Members who have a coordinator can see who theirs is after logging in. (Your access is that of an ordinary member.)
