Yes but voter ID is popular, same-day voting is not…

[Avery James @averyfjames]

Musk is making a big deal about voter ID, but the actual absurdity is having voting periods stretch for weeks.

Not even a fraud thing, just doesn't make sense with ideal quality of elections. Not everyone will have the same information casting their vote.

Random America-is-very-rich fact of the day:

For every 100 households in the U.S., there are 197 privately owned cars.

You find what a man is made of when he knows he will soon pass from this life to the next.

@BenSasse is exemplifying hope in Jesus, leadership of his family, and mirth in a way all men should aspire toward when faced with adversity.

Pray for him, his wife, and his children.

For all the criticisms you hear of Straussians, the few I have known I find are quite willing to speak their actual views and state of mind very clearly and directly.

AI is progressing so quickly that I suspect there will be a return to traditional journalism in the not so distant future. Video and images on social media will be virtually useless in identifying ground truth, and reporters with sources in meat space will become crucial

Scott Adams was a true American original, and a great ally to the President of the United States and the entire administration. My prayers go to Scott and all of you who loved him.

We lost one of the good ones but we'll never forget him.

[Skeptic Research Center Team @SkepResCenter]

Most Americans, regardless of political worldview, agree that "people should have to prove that they are American citizens before they are allowed to vote."

However, over a third of those with a graduate or professional degree believe requiring an ID to vote is a "racist practice."

Interesting that as Wiener seeks to move from the California state senate to the US House of Representatives, the controversial prior stance he must jettison is not ripping families of trans-identified children apart, allowing male rapists and murderers to be locked up with women in prison, decriminalizing the transmission of HIV, allowing a 24-year old to have gay oral and anal sex with a 14-year old without compulsory inclusion on the sex offender's list, and decriminalizing loitering in a manner that made it impossible for police to act against the sex trade which now thrives in the open, but rather withholding himself from accusing Israel of genocide

Suggests that while banning large investors from buying single-family housing may not make much of a difference nationally, it may make a significant difference in a number of metros.

[Lance Lambert @NewsLambert]

Share of single-family housing stock owned by large investors, by county

For this analysis, “large investors” are defined as firms that own at least 100 single-family homes

[Policy Sphere @PolicySphere]

Opinion: It's common to hear that banning financial firms from buying single-family housing will do very little for affordability, but given how locked down the politics of supply are, every bit on the demand side helps.

Dr. Oz on alcohol guidelines: "Alcohol is a social lubricant that brings people together...there's nothing healthier than having a good time with friends."

"There was never good data" to back the 1-2 drink guideline, which was taken out.

But "don't have it for breakfast."
