He would repeat the misspoken word and tangent to a short non sequitur where that word was the subject (roughly), before using the correct term and plowing on. It was rediculous, but he can’t even do that anymore.

well vertically integrated, e.g. owning their tannery, SB Foot, which I imagine helps quite a bit and may not be easy for others to replicate.
