I slept with a woman's husband, convinced her marriage would collapse if I kept him close to me. What I didn't know was that she had discovered my secret and was secretly recording every session. The day she exposed me, I learned that the woman I'd spent months trying to destroy had been three steps ahead of me all along.
The Ancient One wasn’t necessarily contradicting herself. In fact, her actions make more sense when you consider how she understood time and how Doctor Strange eventually became the sorcerer we know.
In Avengers: Endgame, when Bruce Banner travels to 2012, the Ancient One already knows who Stephen Strange is, even though he won’t arrive at Kamar-Taj until years later. She tells Bruce that Strange is meant to become the best of them, suggesting she had already seen something about his future.
But knowing someone’s potential isn’t the same as knowing every decision they’ll make.
In Doctor Strange (2016), Stephen arrives at Kamar-Taj as an arrogant neurosurgeon who believes everything can be explained through science. He wants his hands healed, not the responsibility of protecting reality. The Ancient One initially rejects him because his arrogance makes him dangerous, particularly when dealing with powers capable of manipulating time and reality.
There’s also an important detail from her death scene. The Ancient One explains that she has looked into countless possible futures but has never been able to see beyond the moment of her own death. This establishes that her foresight has limits.
However, there’s a deeper complication.
If she already knew Strange was destined for greatness, her initial rejection might have been part of the process that shaped him. By refusing him entry, she forced him to confront his pride, desperation, and dependence on his former identity.
And remember, she eventually allowed him to train after Mordo persuaded her to reconsider.
There’s also a distinction the original post overlooks: Strange was not immediately appointed Sorcerer Supreme when the Ancient One died. By the time of Multiverse of Madness, Wong held that title because Strange had disappeared during the Blip.
Ultimately, the MCU never explicitly confirms whether the Ancient One deliberately staged Strange’s rejection because she had foreseen it.
So the strongest interpretation is that she knew his potential but still needed him to become worthy of it.
The real mystery isn’t why she initially rejected Strange. It’s how much of his journey she had already seen, and whether she was guiding his choices or simply allowing a future she believed in to unfold.
No one in the MCU has ever humiliated Wanda Maximoff the way America Chavez did in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Wanda had effortlessly overpowered some of the most powerful characters in the MCU, yet America Chavez managed to land several punches on her.
How did someone who could barely control her powers manage to beat up the Scarlet Witch?
THE INFINITY STONES EXISTED BILLIONS OF YEARS BEFORE THANOS, BUT WHO ACTUALLY CREATED THEM?
Long before Iron Man, Thor, the Avengers, or even the existence of Earth, six powerful singularities existed in the universe.
In Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), the Collector explained that before the universe began, there were six singularities. When the universe came into existence, the remnants of those singularities were forged into six concentrated ingots known as the Infinity Stones.
Each stone represented a fundamental aspect of existence: Space, Time, Reality, Power, Mind and Soul.
But their history becomes even more interesting when we examine the Celestials.
In the Collector’s explanation, we see Eson the Searcher, an ancient Celestial, using the Power Stone to destroy an entire civilisation with a single strike.
This establishes that the Infinity Stones were already being wielded by cosmic beings billions of years before Thanos attempted to collect them.
Then Eternals (2021) introduced another layer of cosmic history, revealing that Celestials were involved in the formation of stars, galaxies and the development of life throughout the universe.
And that’s where things become interesting.
If the Infinity Stones originated from forces that existed before the universe, and the Celestials helped shape the universe itself, what was the relationship between these ancient beings and the Stones?
Were the Celestials simply among the first beings powerful enough to wield them, or did they know something about their creation that the MCU has never revealed?
Because Thanos spent years searching for six objects that beings far older than him had already possessed.
And despite everything we know about the Infinity Stones, the MCU still hasn’t revealed exactly who forged those six primordial singularities into the Stones themselves.
CAPTAIN AMERICA RETURNED THE REALITY STONE, BUT THERE’S ONE DETAIL ENDGAME NEVER EXPLAINED.
In Avengers: Endgame, Thor and Rocket traveled back to Asgard in 2013 to retrieve the Reality Stone.
But unlike the other Infinity Stones, the Reality Stone wasn’t a solid object that could simply be picked up and carried away.
It existed as the Aether, a mysterious liquid-like substance that had already entered Jane Foster’s body in Thor: The Dark World.
Rocket used a special device to extract the Aether from Jane before returning to 2023.
After defeating Thanos, Steve Rogers was sent back through time to return all six Infinity Stones to the exact moments they were taken.
But here’s where things get complicated.
Steve wasn’t returning the Reality Stone to a vault or placing it back inside a container. He had to somehow restore the Aether to Jane Foster’s body.
And remember, the Aether wasn’t harmless. It had attached itself to Jane, threatening her life and drawing the attention of the Dark Elves.
Simply returning it to Asgard wouldn’t necessarily restore the original sequence of events.
So how exactly did Captain America put the Reality Stone back inside Jane Foster without changing the events of Thor: The Dark World, and did he even have the technology to do it?
In Avengers: Endgame, the Avengers traveled into different periods of history to retrieve the Infinity Stones without changing their own past.
Bruce Banner specifically explained that traveling backward doesn't rewrite the future the travelers originally came from.
Yet when the 2014 version of Thanos discovered the Avengers' plan, he abandoned his own timeline and traveled to 2023 with his entire army.
That Thanos was eventually erased when Tony Stark used the Infinity Stones.
But consider what this means for the universe Thanos left behind.
In that alternate 2014, Thanos never returned to continue his search for the Stones. His forces disappeared with him, and Gamora also left that timeline.
The events of Infinity War as we know them could never unfold in exactly the same way.
Did the Avengers accidentally create an alternate universe where the Snap never happened, and if so, what became of that reality after Thanos disappeared?
THE ANCIENT ONE KNEW DOCTOR STRANGE WOULD BECOME SORCERER SUPREME YEARS BEFORE THEY MET.
In Endgame, the Ancient One tells Bruce Banner that Strange is destined to become the best of them.
Yet in Doctor Strange, she initially refuses to train him, despite already knowing how important he would become.
Was she genuinely testing his character, or was she deliberately risking the future she already knew was coming?
THOR COULD SUMMON THE BIFROST WITH STORMBREAKER, SO WHY DID HE NEED THE AVENGERS TO TRAVEL THROUGH TIME?
In Infinity War, Thor arrived in Wakanda by using Stormbreaker to summon the Bifrost.
The weapon could transport him across enormous distances without relying on the Rainbow Bridge in Asgard.
But in Endgame, Thor joined the Avengers in their complicated mission to recover the Infinity Stones from the past.
The Bifrost had already demonstrated extraordinary power over space.
Was Stormbreaker’s transportation ability really limited to travelling through space, or was there more to the weapon that Thor never explored?
Meanwhile, Daniel’s father, Richard, was facing a financial disaster.
His family’s luxury manufacturing company had accumulated millions of dollars in debt.
Major investors were withdrawing.
Banks were demanding repayment.
Employees were threatening to leave.
Richard’s eldest son, Marcus, had promised to save the business, but every deal he touched seemed to collapse.
The family mansion remained beautiful, but behind its expensive doors, everyone was panicking.
Then their financial adviser delivered news that changed everything.
A private investment firm had agreed to keep the company alive.
The firm’s owner had one condition: all negotiations had to remain confidential.
Scarlet Witch was cooking Thanos in Endgame.
He was getting his armor ripped apart and was seconds away from being finished before he ordered his own army to fire on everyone.
WITHOUT his army, how was Thanos surviving every battle he fight?
