Every Christian lady is good for every Christian man. Natural and cultural proclivities may decide specifics of choice.

There's no normative standard via Scripture or church history where God selects spouses specifically for everyone. Note the word normative.

Even the jobs and school admission you mentioned, most believers don't "hear God" in the strict sense of hearing God. Our steps are ordered by God when we commit our lives to Him and He does that most of the time without a direct voice.

A believer doesn't need to "hear God" to leave a certain job that takes totality of their time and attention from doing God's work, in that way they do God's will not by "hearing God' but by biblical wisdom.

Largely, biblical wisdom is what primarily guides believers to marry.

If two believers who are disciples and have shown themselves mature in character are drawn to each other and want to marry, don't stifle them with meaningless rules, let them marry.

Thankfully they are released but how they were rescued is also important. Their kidnapping made the news - it was a matter of national concern. The least the rescuer(s) can do is to relate how they did it. It's common sense.
