Persecution of moles is unnecessary and abhorrent. Moles are a blessing. Like earthworms, their tunnelling in the soil is extremely important for water ingress and hence flood and drought mitigation. Moles also play a vital role in accelerating species diversity in established grass swards, as well as promoting nutrient flux in grassland. As @gow_derek has often said, “bloody wildlife!
