Happy to announce I'm starting a new job today as Associate Principal Physics Programmer at Rockstar San Diego!
I haven't worked in a larger game team for a while so it's very exciting 😃
What's funny is physics programmers have said for over ten years that you can make interesting mechanics like TotK does in AAA, but most game design sticks to simple, scripted things instead because it's more predictable.
Now I hope to see *real* emergent gameplay more often 😊

@BalzarJuliusson Hitman games make amazing use of bathroom for opportunities while NPCs are isolated for a short amount of time. That's the best example I can think of for gameplay + narrative experience involving bathroom.

I'm working with @sp3ctral_cat on a Godot 4 extension for the @dimforge's Rapier physics engine. On the current WIP, performance and stability are much better than GodotPhysics. Here is the first preview. #Godot4#GodotEngine#gamedev#Physics
@apothekerrie I use a todo list with a deadline on each entry (just day/month), sorted by date.
That helps a lot with procrastination.
For me the key is to have a deadline and to put *everything* on this list to clear my mind and help prioritize: appointments, work, chores, future plans, etc.
@kypelloStuff It looks a bit cartoony but not really bad. If you're looking for a more realistic motion, I wonder if the body could move less vertically and the legs have one more bone and a more circular movement, like in this reference:
