It was wonderful to host Ms. Anita Hirsch, Country Director WFP Pakistan, and her team at @PUNJABPSPA today.
We spoke about something very close to my heart .how we protect our most vulnerable. For me, this is personal.
That is why I believe Adaptive Social Protection must be our agenda for the next 10 years.
It’s time we move from giving relief after a crisis to building resilience before it. With PSER ,our landmark registry .we now know our people, their needs, their vulnerabilities at their doorstep. This means we can reach a mother, a child, a family in need, in time.
With partners like @WFP standing with us, I am confident we will build a Punjab where no one is left behind.

Defence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with great fervor at Depalpur, Okara.
We paid tribute to the brave sons of this soil, especially Major Shabbir Sharif Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, whose courage at Head Sulemanki in 1965 became a beacon for the entire nation. We salute with pride the Shaheed of Okara who laid down his life in Balochistan, proving once again that this land is the land of brave sons.
On this day, we also salute our Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir CDF and the armed forces for their unwavering resolve and for giving a befitting reply to the enemy in Marqa e haq .
The people of Depalpur stand united in honoring our martyrs and in renewing our pledge to defend the sovereignty and integrity of 🇵🇰

پاکستان میں نئے صوبے ،انتظامی یونٹ یا تیسرے درجے پہ ضلعی خودمختار حکومتیں اس وقت عام عوام کا تقاضا ہیں ۔ حکومت کے انتظامی ، معاشی ، سماجی اصلاحات کا فائدہ عام شخص کو نہیں پہنچ پا رہا ۔ کیوںکہ سیاسی لیڈرشپ ان سے دور ہے اور عوام کی باگ دوڑ بیوروکریسی کے ہاتھ میں ہے جو کے کچھ عرصے بعد اس علاقے سے دوسری جگہ چلے جاتے ہیں ۔گورننس اور فلاح ِ عامہ کے بارے میں بیوروکریسی سے جواب طلبی کرنے والا مقامی طور پر سیاسی نظام موجود نہیں ۔ عوام کے دروازے پر انصاف اور مدد کے لئے حکومت کو ان کے قریب جانا ہو گا ۔

For Independence Day celebrations,I visited Pakistan Sweet Home ( Orphanage) the place very close to my heart.

I believe our greatest responsibility is to the children who have no one but the state and the people to look after them.

I cut the cake with them, prayed for the prosperity and peace of Pakistan, and reminded them that this country belongs to them.
Their future is our future.
This is the Pakistan I want to build where every child grows with dignity, education, and opportunity .
May Allah give us the strength to make it possible.
