Canada's private-sector privacy law is from 2000. The update died when Parliament was prorogued, and the new one has sat at first reading since June. Google isn't waiting for us.

Christian Bale spent roughly 15–16 years quietly working to create a foster-care village in Palmdale through the nonprofit Together California. The project, costing around $20–22 million, was designed to keep siblings from being separated in the foster system by housing them together in family-style homes. It also includes apartments for teens aging out of care and a large community center offering support services to help them transition successfully into adulthood.

Christian Bale was deeply involved for over a decade in helping make the village a reality.
