Visited Ather Solapur showroom today to book 4 scooters. Received a written quotation stating subsidy would be applicable if booked today. Later, they denied the subsidy and refused to take the booking, citing excess demand. Very disappointing and misleading experience.

3rd case of an Ola electric scooter owner setting his own vehicle on fire.

This. Is. Unprecedented. Has never happened before!

This footage is from Banaskantha, Gujarat, where an angry Ola owner set his electric scooter on fire.

I've been reporting on cars and motorcycles for about 16 years now. And have been closely following the automotive sector for at least 25 years.

Never have I seen 3 owners setting their vehicles on fire due to sheer frustration.

1. The first incident happened soon after launch, in Tamilnadu, when a physiotherapist set his Ola scooter on fire citing never-ending range issues: https://t.co/yXsqV73S4G

2. The second incident that I remember happened earlier this year at Gulbarga, when a frustrated Ola S1 Pro owner set his scooter afire in front of the service center: https://t.co/nzmTsBKrYf

3. The third incident has happened at Gujarat, where again, an Ola scooter owner set his scooter on fire.

@bhash @OlaElectric This is something that's never been seen before in Indian automotive manufacturing - multiple owners setting their vehicles on fire. Please wake up!

Shri @nitin_gadkari and @MORTHIndia: What's going on? Why are you not intervening? The problem is now too large for anyone to brush under the carpet.

@jaagograhakjago CCPA: How is it that such things are happening under your watch? Weren't you supposed to audit Ola's service centers?

@SEBI_India Ola investors, many of who are retail investors, need to know this!

Everyone reading this: Ola has a serious problem at hand. Please do not buy an Ola till they fix issues.
