We aggregated ALL the business and first class flight reviews from across the internet you need to read - BEFORE you spend hard earned points and dollars!
We stayed at the @VdaraLV back in December for a fun filled weekend. See our review and why this is one of our go-to Vegas hotels. https://t.co/fG9I3OaXrA #LasVegas#travel#vacation#hotels#sincity
@aviosAdventurer We got priority landing, the guy who was sick (younger fit guy) ended up walking himself off - he looked ok - the plane and the whole thing was anticlimactic. I’m guessing he had a serious panic or allergy attack maybe And they treated it successfully in the air.
@aviosAdventurer Warning him to “stay very still.” Believe it was an anti-anxiety med. before long, I kid you not, the nurses were checking on him and reporting to the doctors (who were all in first class 😂). Several times captain warned we may have to turn back 2/3
@LiveandLetsFly Fun story of United’s policy. Booked a flight for family reasons. Was a 737. United downgrades to an A319, making the plane more full. Then of course the United “your plane is full, do you want to swap” offer - why would I swap when they’ll just downgrade again? 😂
@LiveandLetsFly@JTGenter@Citi@katieGenter True. Although as programs devalue, the draw is less clear. I think it was you? Or maybe OMAAT that was saying one of the points programs was getting close to cash back levels in terms of points value... which opens things up a bit. But is sad as well!
@LiveandLetsFly@JTGenter@Citi@katieGenter Agree - but then - the tough dilemma - giving them your (in all of your cases in particular) substantial business when you know they’re bad faith actors.
@LiveandLetsFly Terrible story and terrible customer service. I hope you are able to seek remedy and that you are in a position subsequently terminate your business with both companies.
@JTGenter What was the best / worst flights as far as price for distance/experience? If I recall you had some comically cheap flight to Australia in economy on AA I think?
@JTGenter@AmericanAir This sucks - but not surprising - until air travel has some recovery, competition, and better rules clarification from DoT - the airlines will do what they do best, cut costs and jerk people around. It’s depressing.
@aviosAdventurer Yup. Suddenly all the “you’re crazy” vanishes once the meal service starts... or sometimes when we get to the lounge if it’s a good one. 😂
@aviosAdventurer I meant more OCD... when we have a trip booked, I'll check 2x a day looking for better flights (i.e., changing us from United to Austrian to try the food, for example)... my wife thinks I'm crazy, until I DO find us better flights, then she praises me while also shaking her head.
@aviosAdventurer Yes! And if you're responsible and willing to learn the game, you can get some amazing deals and experiences. Of course, then you get hooked and become crazy and a points addict. Oh well.
@aviosAdventurer I've done the 747 on BA... was fun, the Concorde room was the best part. So I'd want to try the Concorde even though it was a tight squeeze. March 2 would've been an experience! Shameless promotion of my review: https://t.co/73F6B11ZWF
