@CoachShiffman@BDPRecruiting I was 212 the start of my Sr season in HS. 202 by the end of the season. Got up to 260 my freshman year of college. But that was 20 years ago. Times have changed. Everyone seems to be bigger now.
@TheGridironHQ Position Group = OL for sure.
But Position = Middle Linebacker. Defend the run, the pass, Align the D. The QB of the D. And make 7 guys around you right when they screw up. There is a reason why Bobby Wagner consistently is a top tackler on his teams.
@GlazierClinics Set up a cone grid on your field for same look. Then as the grass gets worn you can move your cones day to day. I call this “box drill” we go through all our footwork for every type of block in the box.
Coaching truth no one wants to say out loud: Don’t worry about advanced degrees and increased educational experience. Save your money and simply get a low level position and advance. Have a rolodex of connections and you’ll get any job you want.
@VinceNolascoAD@chriscfore I would hypothesize that this has to do with a few factors, 1: the cost of having a child. 2: the increased education on sexual health. 3: the increased education of people. Data shows higher educated people have families later in life. No more 16&Pregnant.
Imagine playing the sport for 15 years. Coaching for 15 years. Getting a masters in the profession. Working your way up through every level (Youth, Middle School, Freshman, JV, Varsity.)
And getting passed over for someone with literally zero paid High School experience?
Wild.
