With the help of @scottmpetri and #EMC2Learning (@mrmatera@MeehanEDU), our students created comic books on Latin/South American Revolutionary figures. We have some beautiful examples coming in today! @moler3031 #SSchat
After more than $200m was spent on paid media in the CA Gov race...millions of Californians seem to be voting last minute based on a quick "who's that again?" search.
I’m honored to receive @OurRevolution endorsement, and as Governor, I’ll work tirelessly to realize our shared vision of a California that works for working people.
This is what excellence looks like.
King Drew Magnet High School of Medicine and Science, students are not only reaching college, they are redefining what’s possible. Through discipline, resilience, and unwavering commitment, they continue to lead the way in sending Black students to the University of California system.
But this moment is about more than numbers. It is about belief. It is about breaking barriers, honoring the sacrifices that came before, and proving that potential lives in every classroom across @laschools.
To our students, you are more than enough. You belong in every space you step into. And your future has no limits.
From South Los Angeles to every corner of our district, we see you, we celebrate you, and we are proud.

The only live news report of the attack on the US Naval base at Pearl Harbor, in Oahu, Hawaii, on this day, 1941, more than 2,400 Americans killed. (Courtesy Smithsonian Channel.)
84 years ago today, Japanese fighters shot down three California National Guard Soldiers during the attack on Pearl Harbor. Sgt. Henry Blackwell, Jr., Sgt. Warren D. Rasmussen, and Cpl. Clyde C. Brown with the 251st Coast Artillery Regiment are believed to be the first three American casualties of the attack. Today we honor their sacrifice and remember the 2,403 total lives lost. #PearlHarborDay
Sadly, this is the first year at the commemoration ceremony at Pearl Harbor that no Pearl Harbor survivor has attended. We have lost so many over the past few years and as few as 12 remain living today. From one generation to the next. Remember Pearl Harbor. Remember those lost. Remember those who survived. #PearlHarbor84
As you’re preparing for your Thanksgiving meal, remember the skilled work it took to get that food to you.
Tell us your favorite Thanksgiving dish, and we can share some of what we know about the work behind the ingredients.
As a survivor of the Tulsa Race Massacre, Viola Ford Fletcher bravely shared her story so that we’d never forget this painful part of our history. Michelle and I are grateful for her lifelong work to advance civil rights, and send our love to her family. https://t.co/km7RXnDKcW
