Johor was not built by one group, one family, or one generation alone. It was built by millions of Malaysians who came to work, raise their families, start businesses, and contribute to the state's success.
For too long, some politicians have mistaken power for entitlement and confidence for arrogance. They speak as if loyalty is owed to them, rather than earned through service, integrity, and results.
Parti Bersama Malaysia stands for a different future.
We believe that every Malaysian who lives, works, pays taxes, and contributes to Johor deserves respect, opportunity, and a voice in shaping its future. We reject politics based on superiority, exclusion, or the belief that any party owns the people's votes.
The future belongs to leaders who listen, not leaders who lecture. It belongs to those who solve problems, not those who rely on old slogans and past glory.
Johor's strength is not in its political elites. Johor's strength is in its people.
That is why Parti Bersama Malaysia stands for an inclusive, fair, and accountable government one that serves all Malaysians, not just the politically connected.
The message is simple: Respect the people intellectual, or the people will choose new leaders.
Together, we build a better Malaysia. Together, we move forward.
Bersama Malaysia. 🇲🇾
A (not so) gentle reminder that in addition to these multiple guilty charges, the unrepentant kleptocrat's conviction of CBT, money laundering, and abuse of power in the RM42m SRC International case was unanimously upheld by eight apellate and apex court judges.
The Executive Crisis: Najib Razak "Supreme Leader" and Anwar Ibrahim’s Political Trap
The 2026 "Corporate Mafia" scandal represents a critical fracture in the Madani government because the Prime Minister’s handling of it has replicated the exact defensive failures of the 1MDB era. Anwar Ibrahim campaigned on a fierce platform of institutional reform, yet his response to this crisis has exposed a paralyzing double standard.
1. The Pivot to Geopolitical Deflection
When the Bloomberg exposés laid bare the systemic rot within MACC's enforcement wings—and highlighted then-Chief Azam Baki’s highly irregular public equity holdings—Anwar opted for political survival over institutional hygiene.
In a highly controversial address to Parliament, the Prime Minister attempted to externalize the crisis, claiming the investigations were a coordinated, foreign-backed conspiracy involving "Zionist groups, international media agencies, and foreign lobbyists" collaborating with local elites to topple his government. This pivot to a geopolitical bogeyman insulted the intelligence of the public; it did nothing to address the black-and-white evidence of regulatory overreach and corporate coercion taking place domestically.
2. Institutional Double Standards and the Purge of Critics
The most severe national blowback stems from the paralysis of the state’s reform mandate. While whistleblowers, financial journalists, and independent watchdogs exposing the corporate raiding schemes face immediate counter-investigations, state harassment, and police intimidation, figures adjacent to the ruling coalition remain structurally insulated. Farhash’s highly irregular corporate trajectory remains unprosecuted, establishing a dangerous precedent: corruption is aggressively pursued only if it belongs to the political opposition.
3. The Cabinet Fracture and the 2028 Horizon
The internal pressure eventually shattered cabinet solidarity. Coalition partners like the DAP, facing immense pressure from their urban, Chinese, voter base and anti-corruption supporters, broke rank to publicly demand a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) to strip the compromised MACC of its investigative monopoly.
To prevent an open collapse of his coalition, Anwar’s Cabinet chose not to renew Azam Baki’s contract, replacing him with former High Court judge Halim Aman. Yet, this move was widely perceived as tactical appeasement rather than genuine structural overhaul.
Anwar Ibrahim is currently gambling on political inertia, hoping to ride out this systemic wave of disgust until the 2028 general elections. However, the blowback has fundamentally alienated his partners in UMNO and Barisan Nasional. With BN increasingly confident it can sweep upcoming state polls independently, this prolonged corporate mafia scandal provides his coalition partners with the perfect elite justification to sever ties, trigger early elections, and leave the Madani administration buried under the weight of its own compromised promises.
As a disenfranchised voter, I am relieved that Bersama Malaysia has been formed to provide a meaningful voting choice, instead of forcing people to choose not to turn up at the ballot box.
History Lesson.
@anwaribrahim -
YAB Menteri Besar Johor,

1. The Core Masses: Azam Baki and the "Corporate Mafia"
The term "Corporate Mafia" entered the public consciousness via explosive international reports (notably by Bloomberg) and local whistleblowers like Albert Tei.
The core allegation is terrifyingly precise: a network consisting of certain businessmen, corporate players, and compromised law enforcement officers allegedly weaponized the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
The "mass" in this political equation was centered around MACC leadership. Azam Baki faced intense public pressure regarding his personal shareholdings in publicly listed companies (such as Velocity Capital Bhd), leading to the public campaign #TangkapAzamBaki (which later rebranded as #RCINOW).
The Relativity of Enforcement
When the Bloomberg exposé broke, the MACC’s immediate counter-reaction was to launch a RM1.1 billion investigation into a "former minister"-who happened to be Rafizi Ramli.
The Relative Lens: To the public, this looked like the "Empire Strikes Back" using the agency's massive power to create a diversionary political attack. To the agency, it was framed as standard, impartial enforcement. The truth depends entirely on your relative position to the center of power.
2. The Gravity of Violence: The Syringe Attack on Rafizi’s Son
In August 2025, the political chessboard turned dark and physical. Rafizi Ramli’s 12-year-old son was dragged from a family car at a Putrajaya mall by two assailants wearing full-face helmets and stabbed with a syringe. Hours later, Rafizi’s wife received a chilling WhatsApp message: "Diam! Andai teruskan, Aids!" (Shut up! If you continue, AIDS!).
In Malaysian politics, verbal mudslinging and corporate backstabbing are common, but direct biological terrorism targeting a politician's child was unprecedented.
Why Target the Family?
When Rafizi stepped out of the Cabinet, he began aggressively speaking out on corporate corruption and proxy networks. In the "Theory of Political Relativity," when an independent actor refuses to be swayed by financial gravity (bribes) or political gravity (bureaucratic pressure), the corrupt system escalates its force.
By bypassing Rafizi and targeting his child with a terrifying psychological weapon (the threat of HIV/AIDS via syringe), the "Corporate Mafia" attempted to alter the risk equation. They sent a message: Your political crusade carries a human cost you cannot afford.
3. The 2026 Shift: Power Begins to Bend
By mid-2026, the gravitational field shifted. Azam Baki’s turbulent tenure as MACC Chief officially ended on May 12, 2026. With his exit, the protective "elite networks" that previously insulated the agency began to fray.
Demands for an RCI: Civil society and political factions are now fiercely lobbying Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into the Corporate Mafia ecosystem.
The Whistleblower Backlash: Albert Tei’s legal battles and subsequent leaks exposed just how deeply entrenched these syndicates were, showing that they even reached into senior political secretaries within the current administration.
The Political Relativity Formula
If we were to write a formula for this dark chapter in Malaysian governance, it would look like this:
Where:
P (Political Impunity): How much a corrupt actor can get away with.
M (Corporate Money): The financial backing of the mafia.
L (Law Enforcement Co-optation): The ability to use agencies like the MACC as a shield.
A (Public Accountability & Brave Actors): The pushback from whistleblowers, investigative journalists, and leaders like Rafizi who refuse to hold their tongues.
After all this intimidation engineering by the Madani government officials, this created a retaliation until disenfranchised voters pushed for an alternative.
Now you got "Bersama Malaysia" let's do it to fight this intellectual massacre and moral degeneracy that political patronage systems like UMNO-BN, PAS-PN, and PKR-PH want to implement against our dignity.
The theory that the Sabah mining scandal was a coordinated "trap" set by the federal government or a political sting operation that went off-script gained significant traction, especially after late 2024. Whistleblower Albert Tei himself openly stated he felt like a "chess piece" in a broader political game, and viral videos directly alleged that the idea to covertly film politicians originated from within federal circles to squeeze the Sabah state government.
Whether it began as a planned trap or was simply capitalized on after the fact, the scandal has followed the classic historical blueprint of federal-state power dynamics in Malaysia.
1. The "Sting Operation" Theory
The narrative of a federal trap centers on how the evidence was collected. The businessman at the heart of the scandal, Albert Tei, used a hidden pen camera to meticulously record multiple Sabah politicians mainly from the ruling Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition allegedly discussing bribes for prospecting licenses.
The political bomb dropped when a video emerged in which an individual linked to the federal political apparatus claimed the operation had explicit backing from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) to target Sabah leaders.
The Turn of the Screw: The theory that this was a pure federal trap got complicated when the scandal boomeranged. Tei eventually turned his sights on federal figures, exposing Anwar's senior political secretary, Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, for allegedly soliciting cash and luxury gifts. Shamsul was forced to resign in late 2024, showing that if it was a trap, it ended up catching players on both sides.
2. How the Scandal Functions as Leverage
Regardless of who pulled the initial trigger, the management of the scandal by federal agencies created a textbook political trap for Sabah's leadership:
Selective Pressure: Out of the numerous politicians caught on tape, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Attorney General's Chambers selectively pressed charges against specific assemblymen like Datuk Dr. Yusof Yacob and Datuk Andi Muhammad Suryady Bandy while keeping the files open on others.
The Shield vs. The Sword: Chief Minister Hajiji Noor was publicly cleared of direct wrongdoing by the MACC. However, by leaving his surrounding coalition partners vulnerable and under active investigation, the federal government effectively holds a "sword of Damocles" over the GRS state administration.
3. The Structural Result: Compliance
Anwar Ibrahim has consistently maintained that the MACC operates independently and that the government is "shielding no one," pointing out that those charged belong to component parties of his own broader Unity Government.
However, in the reality of Malaysian political engineering, the underlying effect is identical to the tactics of the past:
Weakened Autonomy: The scandal severely damaged GRS's reformist image and eroded public trust in Sabah right before major election cycles.
Dependence on Putrajaya: To survive the fallout and maintain power locally, Sabah's leadership has had to rely heavily on Anwar's political backing. This has forced local parties to be far more accommodating to federal demands, such as allowing Peninsular parties (like PKR) a greater share of seats to contest in Sabah.
While Tun Mahathir used constitutional amendments, demographics engineering and sudden political defections to bring Sabah to heel, the mining scandal represents a modern iteration: using anti-corruption machinery and calculated leaks to ensure that regional leaders remain compliant, compromised, and tethered to the federal center.
Why has Parti Bersama Malaysia gained traction so quickly? Because the majority of fence-sitter voters in West Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak feel that their intelligence as human beings has been challenged by watching this power struggle drama being engineered.
@rafiziramli Selamat Menyambut Awal Muharam 1448H, wishing you and your family a blessed Islamic New Year.
May this year bring you peace, good health, and barakah in all your endeavors.
Praying for ease and blessings in everything you do.
