Around 2014, this man kept sending me messages on Facebook. “How are you? How is school?” Nothing serious.
When I started answering, he asked my name, my LGA, where I was from and my state. I said Imo. He jokingly said, “I will make you a lolo in my community.”
His profile picture did not even look convincing, so I didn’t take him seriously. For almost a year, we only chatted. He didn’t ask for my number.
In 2015, he asked for my number. I gave it to him. He still didn’t call for about four months.
Then he called. He was in Owerri and wanted to see me. I was in school at IMSU. He said he was driving down.
That was the first time I saw him. He gave me perfume and other gifts. That was when I realised he wasn’t even living in Nigeria.
We met a few more times, with long gaps in between. Then in 2019, I visited him in Lagos.
He asked me to cook oha soup. I cooked and he ate. I went to have my bath. I didn’t eat with him.
When I came back, he had finished eating. He called me. “Nne.” I said, “Yes, dear?”
He brought out a small red box. Inside was a ring.
“I’ve tasted your food, and you’re good. I think I’m okay with you. I think I’m going to marry you.”
He asked me to wear the ring. I wore it. He said his people would go and see my parents.
That night is still one of the best nights of my life. I will never forget it.
Our families met. Months later, we had our traditional marriage. Then came the white wedding.
The man from my Facebook inbox is my husband. And next month, we’ll be celebrating eight years of marriage.
When we speak about the possibility of a new Nigeria, we must look beyond political slogans and examine the records of those seeking to lead.
Peter Obi demonstrated in Anambra state that the government can be deliberate about education, healthcare and the management of public resources.
Under Peter Obi's administration classroom blocks were constructed across the state’s 177 communities, mission schools were returned to their churches, and Anambra rose to a high position in NECO results between 2011 and 2013. It was also in Peter Obi's administration that a state-owned teaching hospital which is the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital located at Awka was also established.
Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s record in Kano tells another important story. His administration invested heavily in education too, including thousands of classrooms, free feeding and uniforms for primary pupils, technical and vocational institutions, laboratories and scholarship programmes that supported a lot of young people in Kano state.
Both men have experience translating public policy into programmes that affect the lives of Nigerians in positive ways.
Peter Obi and Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso have chosen to work together because they found substantial common ground in their vision and mission for the good of Nigeria.
I believe Nigeria needs leadership that understands production, human capital, fiscal responsibility, education and opportunity.
If we are serious about moving Nigeria from poverty to prosperity, we should pay close attention to the possibilities created when experience, competence and a shared national vision come together.
The task before us is to build a Nigeria where the government works for the people and where every young Nigerian has a genuine opportunity to achieve greatness.
Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso are the ones best suited to lead the way forward.
@SirJarus There is a big private school for sell in Abuja. Staff and students on ground. You won't start from scratch. Pay the owner and take over completely.
Chief Dr. Emeka Morocco Maduka died on October 29, 2020.
He had a tribute for Peter Obi before he died. And that's the song playing in the background of this video.
He was asking whoever that wants to govern Anambra, to govern like Peter Obi.
The tribute album Peter Obi (Okwute) released under his name in December 2022 was published posthumously by his estate or record label to honor Peter Obi's prudence and good governance.
Rest in Peace Legend Chief Dr Morocco Maduka.
Today, we officially opened our campaign headquarters in Asaba, the central home of our movement, from which campaign branches will be established across Delta State.
This headquarters will serve as the heart of our campaign, coordinating our activities across the state while keeping our doors open to Deltans who want to engage, contribute, and be part of this journey.
From Asaba, our structure will reach every part of Delta State. The goal is simple, to build a campaign that remains connected to the people, listens to the people, and carries their voices with us every step of the way.
The movement is growing, the structure is taking shape, and we are only getting started.

@SEDCgov@markokoyeII@OgbedeCliff Just give us a regional rail line. That is all we want!
Anything outside it is not development. The state governments have responsibilities. Leave them to do theirs.
INEC said results would be uploaded with BVAS.
In 2023, over 50,000 presidential result sheets appear to have come from private phones.
Who uploaded them, and under whose authority?
