The African Diaspora Covid-19 Food Initiative was created to tackle food insecurity created by the pandemic in the African descent community by providing culturally diverse food hampers to those who need. Now the food bank is at the risk of closing its doors
Those on the frontlines working for non-profits in housing, harm reduction, shelters, etc., have been working tirelessly throughout the pandemic. They are *absolutely* critical workers.
But the UCP doesn’t think they deserve the critical worker benefit.
