Local leaders, WSPCs, and community leaders from Gulu city are undergoing training on areas of environmental conservation, sanitation, and monitoring. Objectives of the training focus on:

from Gulu City (For God Ward). Pre-formation training using the CMO Procedures Manual (MWE, 2019) was critical given that committee members had no prior MCMC experience and limited knowledge of catchment boundaries.
CEED engaged the Water Source Protection Committees (WSPCs) of Oyitino 1 & 2 to form and revitalize the WSPCs. The committee comprises 9 members representing the multi-jurisdictional nature of the catchment, with leadership from Amuru District (Palema Parish) and secretariat 1/1
CEED held a stakeholder workshop with @GuluCityCouncil officials and community members to buy-in on the project, the strategies, and interventions towards the successful implementation and sustainability of project interventions in Gulu’s catchment area under @nwscug

CEED held two dialogue meetings with the stone quarry vendor groups at Kasubi Central, near the Aooya stream, in Gulu City. The dialogue meetings seek to address the prevailing Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) in relation environmental conditions as well as 1/1
The Full-Scale Source Protection project in Gulu is supervised by @Aidenvironment in association with @Amref_Uganda and @Heifer_Uganda on behalf of @nwscug . The project is funded by the World Bank under the Integrated WMDP .
