Friends - @AmericanAir has finally put @amester26 and her sweet kiddos on a plane, thank God. Their lukewarm response to this medical emergency, however, leaves so so much to be desired. Please keep pushing until they fully own up to their neglect.

And here’s the fucking kicker: @AmericanAir HAS YET TO OFFER ANY FORM OF COMPENSATION. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY. This is unbelievable and honestly reeks of ableism. @amester26 deserves better. Maggie & her big brother deserve better. Shame on American Airlines!!!

They’re out of supplies, they’re out of extras, and they are literally unable to feed their infant daughter because @AmericanAir is holding their luggage hostage.

So let’s recap. @AmericanAir has stranded a mom & her two kids, one of whom has a medical device that is now dead because they aren’t being allowed access to their luggage, which has been on a plane for two days. And they can’t reschedule the flight bc it’s only delayed.

And clearly if @AmericanAir doesn’t care about the health of a gtube-dependent baby, they aren’t going to care about car seat safety. Another fun fact? They can’t rebook the flight because it’s delayed, not cancelled - wtaf?!

And the pumping machine is currently dead, and the charger cord is in their checked baggage - which @AmericanAir WILL NOT LET THEM ACCESS. They have run out of food pouches, they can’t go anywhere bc the car seats are ALSO checked...
