This morning, the Supreme Court struck down the limits on how much a political party can spend in coordination with its candidates.
This required it to ignore prior precedent and to adopt a strained reading of the Constitution. The fight continues... https://t.co/diqztGtJm1
Let's say Dr. Oz is correct in that 40% of ACA enrollees don't use their insurance in a given year.
He jumps to the odd conclusion that's evidence of fraud in the system.
Show of hands — have you avoided going to the doctor because of expensive copays?
I’m a Democrat.
I believe in individual freedom + Europe-style capitalism & FDR’s 4 Freedoms:
Freedom of speech and expression
Freedom to worship, freedom FROM worship.
Freedom from want (economic security and a healthy peacetime life)
Freedom from fear
Pass it on
#BREAKING: Sen Tammy Duckworth: “If you have a different name on your birth certificate than is on your drivers license, you CANNOT vote, and so for the 69 MILLION American WOMEN who took their husband’s names, you cannot vote. That birth certificate is not valid. By the way, military IDs will not be valid for you to be able to vote, neither will your REAL ID…So you have to go in with a passport that matches your current ID, and you know how hard it is to get a passport? Number one, it’s expensive and number two, theres such a backlog in the State Department, some people are waiting 3-6 months to get a passport. And so, think about the 69 million American women who married and took their husband’s name, you can no longer vote under the #SAVEAct…and in order to have housing for young people who…don’t see home ownership as being something that they can achieve, he’s going to hold women who are married and took their husband’s name hostage.” 🤦♀️
Why wouldn't anyone want all ballots counted as long as they were postmarked or dropped off by election day? It's just like filing your taxes by April 15th. Postmarked by that date is legitimate.
I’m not going to hail Barrett and Roberts for allowing us to count our votes. It’s a huge win for democracy, but it shouldn’t have even been a question. That we were one vote away from disenfranchising votes is all the more reason to expand the court in 2029.
BIG NEWS: I just signed and filed a discharge petition to force a floor vote on my legislation to permanently block Trump’s $1.8 BILLION taxpayer-funded slush fund for his January 6 private militia and family-sized Super Pardon.
I'm calling on all members of Congress to sign on. We can stop this self-dealing scheme and stand up for the taxpayers.
The Supreme Court has ruled that the manifestly racist policy of deporting Haitians theoretically might not have been racist on another set of facts aside from the one that actually obtained in our real world. Even by this Supreme Court's standards this is sad and embarrassing—as well as contributory to obvious and avoidable injustice.

Awful lot of supposed small-government conservatives are very happy that the Supreme Court has enacted one of the largest expansions of federal executive power in my lifetime. Might want to remember they won’t always be in control of Washington.
This shit can backfire on you.
Who's actually struggling with this decision?
This is basic stuff.
In America, if you vote but the government doesn't deliver your vote on time, that's not your fault and your vote must be counted.
The bigger issue here, and the reason Democrats must re-do the Supreme Court when they are back in power, is that 4 Justices said "nah, your vote should not count."
BREAKING: A federal court hands the DOJ yet another loss, dismissing its lawsuit seeking access to New Hampshire's unredacted voter data.
The department now stands at 0-11 in its sweeping legal hunt for states' private voter information.
🚨BREAKING: Justice Thomas REJECTS Roy Moore's last ditch effort to stop the mandate from issuing in his 11th Cir. defamation defeat. He has been suing Senate Majority PAC over an advertisement in his failed Senate race for years.
Proud of my firm's defense of the 1st Amend.
@christopherrufo No, I don't think we are responsible for all poor nations. But we were saving 1 life every 10 seconds with USAID, and we cut that off abruptly with no time for countries to adjust. So kids died unnecessarily. And I do think that it's bad when kids die unnecessarily, don't you?
Setting aside half the misinformation in this post, the Amish are also clearly a community that refuses to assimilate to American society.
And yet no one on the right seems to care. Curious.
