Yeah, after watching the rest of the trailers Pixar released after writing my previous response, yeah I think Toy Story 5 might be just as bad as Toy Story 4 in terms of Woody abuse. It's very clear Pixar doesn't know what to do with Woody anymore after 3.

@DiscussingFilm I get why Woody has the most visual gags and jokes revolved around him, but I am really hoping this is just a rocky start and this isn't going to be worse than Toy Story 4 where the movie is beating a dead horse by relentlessly picking on Woody for the sake of comedy. ( 2/2 )

@DiscussingFilm I understand Woody has ALWAYS been the character who's been the butt of the joke in Toy Story 1, 3, and 4. But Woody's introduction here is so mean spirited, especially the whole poncho thing where Woody loves it, but everyone else hates it INCLUDING BO. ( 1/2 )

@_gurusandhu_ Pretty sure DR Undyne's spears are just like her UT counterparts's spears, where they're made of energy for Undyne to just poof into existence whenever and don't have a direct LW counterpart. But if they did, I like to imagine Undyne just carries a bunch of forks in her pocket.

I actually really like Ventriloquist Woody. Like obviously the Woody we got is the best version of Woody, but I would've loved to see how dickhead Woody developed in Toy Story 1. He gives me like Prototype Lotso vibes. Also I like his deeper voice, but Tom Hanks is a treasure.

I don't think Swapswap deserves to be clowned on as much as it does even today. The Canon Swapswap is pretty interesting and I love the colorful and creative designs it has. Although I think my Underswap bias might be the reason why I love Swapswap as much as I do.
