In this experimental study, we tested whether the zoom experience, specifically whether kids could see themselves on screen during a story read-aloud, impacted kindergartners' story comprehension. Surprisingly, it didn't! But distraction, whether on or off screen, was a problem.
Excited to share a new article that I worked on with @LauricellaPhD. This study represents one of those major research "pivots" many of us had to do during the pandemic, but ended up being a lot of fun and a bit surprising!
