While I prefer listening to recordings instead of going to live performances, I think that recording tech has made it so that it more similar in sound quality than it was in the past. Live performances are likely going to continue to be popular as the restrictions go. #POPMUSW22

@woodfine_j From what I have seen even today, when the original is changed its usually worse sounding to me. I agree that inspiration is great and I would say expected. Credit is very important especially when it comes to artistic expression

I think that inspiration is great and common in the music industry but credit should always go to the original if someone releases a cover. Covers can commonly come off as disingenuous too

I think Ray Charles used a breaking voice so that people could more easily feel the emotion behind both the lyrics and himself as he sings it. #POPMUSW22

@saradwyer0_0 I do the same thing! I usually have different playlists for what I am feeling as well as what I am doing, for example I have a playlist of simple instrumental stuff I can play in the background while studying. That is one feature of spotify I greatly appreciate. #POPMUSW22

@deanne_pye I also think this is a great thing, and that it makes it easier to find the music we like. Something I also find interesting is the fact that some services like spotify can auto create playlists based on what you already listen to, along with other similar artists! #POPMUSW22

Streaming services (like spotify) had a large impact on the amount of music I listen to once I found out about them when I was younger. Particularly they introduced me to older artists that were more popular in eras that I missed. #POPMUSW22
