I have been closely following this lady by the name Umulkheir Harun. She has completely won my heart. Her maturity, eloquence, and emotional intelligence set her apart as one of the most sober leaders in Garissa County. I admire her approach to issues with a depth and composure that defies her age. Aki daughter of Muhammad ni mrembo namna hatari.

She was at Nguni tirelessly working to calm tensions and restore calm, choosing dialogue over division, wisdom over noise, and proving that true leadership isn’t about how long you’ve lived, but how deeply you understand people.

This lady is beautiful in speech and deed. She is the true reflection of sober Somali community. She must have interacted with people from all other communities. It's very had to come across a Somali speaking nicely like this. This is being educated and civilized.

This eloquent lady is a leader per excellence nani mrembo yawaa. I must look for my Friend Abdul to help me connect wires with mhesh. I understand she wants to become a Women Rep in Garissa. Nita hamisha kura yangu from Sikhendu all the way to Balambala ward.

As we mark the National Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, I presided over the launch of the Kenya National Cervical Cancer Elimination Plan (2026–2030), a national commitment to end a largely preventable disease that continues to claim the lives of too many Kenyan women.

Our new roadmap aligns Kenya with the three-fold strategy, a roadmap built to achieve the global 90–70–90 targets: 90% of girls vaccinated by age 15, 70% of women screened with high-performance tests and 90% of those diagnosed receiving comprehensive treatment.

We have shifted to a single-dose HPV vaccine, now offered free to all girls aged 10–14, expanded community screening with advanced HPV DNA testing and strengthened treatment systems nationwide.

Backed by the Social Health Authority (SHA), these reforms guarantee affordable and uninterrupted care.

With counties, schools, civil society, led by Kenya Network of Cancer Organizations (KENCO) and other partners, we are building a future where no girl is left unprotected, no woman unscreened and no patient untreated.

Legislators drawn from Kisii and Nyamira counties convened with the Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum Mr. Opiyo Wandayi to discuss issues pertaining electrification in the two counties.This is in line with government's objective to accelerate connectivity rate to Kenyans in rural areas.

Electrification of rural areas will definitely spur economic growth at the micro economic level as the people in rural areas will be in a position to engage in business without much of strain especially for businesses heavily reliant on electricity.
