“Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed.” ~ G.K. Chesterton
I heard a phrase that 10'xd my focus, "Don't have a leaky mind."
If you're working, work. If you're dancing, dance. But don't compulsively think of one thing while doing another.
@KurtisHanni@_FlawlessPage Thank you. And I agree. I've always wondered if I was the only one who noticed and was curious to know the actual take home amount.
@follow_coloo@KurtisHanni He said "share" not report. Two different things. I wanna know cashflow. Sometimes am looking at business models and I hear how much it makes, but have no idea of their overhead costs, or the type of revenue the business makes.
@_FlawlessPage@KurtisHanni The explanation above can be used to explain profit as well, but may differ depending on other factors like credit sales and prepayments. Profits IS NOT the same as cashflow. This is the simplest explanation if your business uses cash-based accounting though.
@_FlawlessPage@KurtisHanni Revenue is the sales/money a business receives before deducting expenses. Cash flow is the net of how much money comes in and out of your business. Eg. I received $50k in revenue from my business. I however paid my staff, ads etc. $20k. My revenue: $50k
My cashflow:$30k
❗️Potentially upsetting content❗️: Talking with someone who went to a funeral of someone who unalived themselves. They said the family was disgraced and they would too. Am like w-hat?
We need to be more empathetic as a people
@OnwardsProject @bio_vidigal This is a strategy in and of itself I think. Most people create better content when they give themselves freedom, speak from the heart and don't put much thought into it.
Everyone’s personal history (good or bad) is valuable.
It’s the research & development that’s shaped who you are, and it can propel you forward as a unique, special being.
Evaluate it. Learn from it. Grow from it.
Above all, don’t waste it.
@CynicalPublius@thomashawk@MaryCorson14 So you're thinking of entrepreneurship as a path to success. This can be more effective with college:
1. Networking
2. The opportunity to learn about business and industry-specifics at a corporate job
3. Some people actually want a service based business which require experience
Asking whether customers are more important than employees is like asking whether the brain is more important than the heart. They both hold their merits. In my opinion though, the employees are the brain. Without it, nothing can function, but without customers your business dies
@LakeenaMckenzie@carltongstew I did one recently. I am introverted and don't know many people, but I do know people who know many people. My mom and I work at the same place, so we both got two separate orders from our own crowd. Got orders from the community, and surrounding workplaces of friends.
I think we should be open to any kind of advice (Even not just word advice but the actions of each person) 🤔
Why?
Because expertise isn't solely defined by personal achievements.
Many psychologists understand human behavior without experiencing every emotion.
Doctors heal without facing every illness.
Personal trainers transform lives without being an athlete.
True expertise lies in knowledge, empathy, and understanding, not just personal achievements. 🌟
@ShienaGable I think you have to 1st figure out why your dream is not working out. 1st, start with 2 categories: intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic reasons - skillset, what drains your energy, etc. Extrinsic - the economy, feedback from people, and so on. Weigh each of these then decide.
@missbrandingg Mentor: Depending on their level, it maybe difficult to learn from them as you don't share their context. But their success formula can be re-engineered to suit you.
Peers: You're the average of the 5 people you hang around most. However, ambition without execution means nothing
