Not going to lie, got a bit emotional reading this feedack from today’s yr 10 workshops ❤️. Huge thanks to @BradonForestSch it was a pleasure working with your boys 🙏

#SWOTW - My small win of the week was external CPD with @DerbyUni / DANCOP & @ProgressiveMasc. It was a really insightful session and we’ve come out with loads of ideas! 🤔💭
A huge thank you to Phil from @ProgressiveMasc who delivered an excellent 2 day workshop to a group of S3 boys. This will develop the groups leadership potential, empowering them to be drivers for postive change within the school.
Please excuse my biannual self-promoting/advertising post on X…!🙏
I am really enjoying being ‘not quite yet retired’ as an Executive Coach, Leadership Development Facilitator & Keynote Speaker…
*Long thread
Lots of discussion about Adolescence and concern for boys but it's not new and @ProgressiveMasc have been working with schools and our boys on it for some time and are brilliant. 1st seen @ThePiXLNetwork and would have them back every year to work with our students.
After working with our students in Dec, today Mike Nicholson from @ProgressiveMasc delivered brilliant staff training on Progressive Masculinity & what it's like to be a man in today's world; removing barriers, discussing stigma & theories to help support our students
@biking_penguin@ottleyoconnor Hi Frank, thanks for the heads up, the website crashed due to the amount of traffic. 'Adolesence' and Gareth Southgate's talk have created a real buzz in this space. Should be up and running now 👍
Extremely excited to launch our first 'Train The Trainer' event, combining the experise of Dr Alex Blower and the work of Progressive Masculinity. Our vision is to equip school leaders with the knowledge, tools & strategies they need to support the boys/young men in their care.
This is the title of our talk at the ASCL National Conference on 14th March - we look forward to seeing some of you there on the day!

At Progressive Masculinity we want our strategies and programmes to be evidence-based and research informed. As such I would highly recommend The Anti-social Network: The Role of the Social Media Manosphere in Young Men’s Lives Michael J. Wilson, Krista Fisher, and Zac Seidler
"So in early adolescence, they talk about wanting friendships. Some of them have intimate, deep, secret friendships, talking about wanting to be able to be vulnerable with other guys, share their feelings without being laughed at" Dr Niobe Way
"The impact was immense ... to enable our boys with the lowest levels of self-esteem to improve and engage within their learning"
Fantastic feedback from a Headteacher following our 'Exploring Masculinities' Pupil Workshop Program
Amazing feedback for our London-based facilitator from a 16yr old:
"Nathaniel's energy was contagious. It is impossible to not want to speak your mind and truths around him. He helps to release the tension around your mind and just speak"

Progressive Masculinity will be both speaking & exhibiting at the annual ASCL Conference this year. It would be great to see you there. The title of our talk is:
Exploring Masculinities: supporting young men to critically engage with their masculine identity in a digital world.
Huge thanks to @RonDearingUTC, always love coming to visit. A genuinely warm & welcoming staff and the students in our workshops were an absolute credit to you: honest & caring young men 👏🏻👏🏻
This morning I shared with you an awful new campaign that attempted (and failed) to communicate with boys and men.
Now I want to share one that's fantastic.
Absolutely love this thoughtful, human centred, and compassionate campaign by @MaleSurvivorUK.
