PropelAuth

Auth that scales with your B2B business
The complete solution for multi-tenant authentication and authorization.

True believers will approve everything. The agent can do whatever they can do, and nothing they can’t, since org scopes are capped by their role.

Skeptics will untick the write scopes before they connect. They never make it into the token, so the server just says no.

For the more moderate, it's common to start with read-only and see how it goes. They can always reconnect later and add more access.

It’s the same agent talking to the same server every time. All that changes is what the token says it’s allowed to do.

[PropelAuth @PropelAuth]

Users should be able to grant AI the access level they’re comfortable with. Not more, not less.

We built MCP Authentication at PropelAuth with that in mind. You define the scopes, users decide which ones to approve on the consent screen, and your MCP server checks the token on every tool call.

Building an MVP means balancing “ship it now” with “please don’t make future us regret this.”

That gets even trickier with agents writing more code.

We highlighted a stack with end-to-end type safety, typed routing, @MongoDB features like queryable encryption/search/data locality, and @PropelAuth for SSO/SCIM + MCP support.

The goal isn’t just to ship fast. It’s to stay fast.

propelauth (@PropelAuth) probably has some of the best support of any of the vendors we work with. I think we average a 45 second response time with them and < 2 min average time to resolved. incredible stuff.

🚨 We released a new product!

Why? Because we believe that some people should build their own auth.

Existing auth tools aren't meant for everyone. Plenty of companies have been able to build their own solutions that will get them pretty far.

Eventually, there's some feature they need to close a customer. This could be SSO / SCIM for their first enterprise customer. This could be a security audit requiring session rotation or limits on concurrent sessions.

If you look to buy a solution, most auth providers will have you scrap everything and migrate.

And migrations suck.

It means restructure your user data and put it somewhere else. It means a LOT of testing.

In some cases, you may lose functionality that you had previously implemented.

We felt like this was a bad choice. You shouldn't be forced to rip out something that works when all you need is an upgrade.

That's where PropelAuth BYO comes in.

It's an authentication sidecar that's designed to help you enhance your existing authentication without replacing what already works.

It's designed with the features we typically see people migrate to an external provider for.

And it's completely self-hostable so you can keep total control over your data.

It's based off of the years of experience building and maintaining auth for thousands of customers who are selling to some of the biggest companies in the world.

At @ELLIOTechnology, we swapped our B2B/B2E/B2G auth to @PropelAuth - ticks all the boxes. Multitenancy out of the box, support that responds, and flat-rate pricing that keeps budgeting sane. Deep in the federations, Keycloak (or others) rabbit hole? Check PropelAuth.

One of the first things I did after joining Segwise was set up authentication, and I went with @PropelAuth. I honestly couldn’t believe how quickly I was able to get our production environment up and running - just 2 days from start to finish.
