🙏 MY HEARTFELT & URGENT APPEAL TO THE GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH 🙏

My name is Bharat, and I am currently in the USA, where I have been battling advanced Cancer- Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) for the last 4 years.

My doctors have told me that my condition is very critical and that I may not have much time left. At this stage of my life, I have just one heartfelt wish. I want to come back to my motherland, Andhra Pradesh, and spend the time I have left with my family and loved ones.

I want to see my family, be with them, and return home one last time. This wish is giving me the strength to keep fighting.

Because of my medical condition, I cannot safely travel on a regular commercial flight and urgently need medical air transportation/air ambulance assistance to travel from the USA to India.

🙏 Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh @ncbn , Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh @PawanKalyan and the Government of Andhra Pradesh @AndhraPradeshCM @apnrtsofficial , and the Government of India I humbly request you to please help me come home.

I am not asking for anything more than the chance to be with my family in my motherland during the time I have left.

Sion Bridge is a small but critical railway bridge in Mumbai

It was 112 years old.

The govt realized after 112 years old that it is 112 years old and needs to be replaced.

They said it would take 2 years to replace a 60 mtr bridge.

When the Bridge was there it took me 45 mins to get to office and 1 hour to get back.

Since the bridge is demolished, I spend one and a half hours to reach office and an hour and 45 minutes to get back.

That is one and half additional hours in commute, every day, for the last two years

Which makes it 7.5 hours a week

Or 390 extra hours a year.

Which becomes 780 extra hours over the last two years

That's a 32 extra days spent on commute over the last two years.

Or one whole month.

Just on commute

This is extra or over and above the 32 days I anyway used to spend on commute in two years.

And this is just me.

And there are thousands like me

One small bridge. One massive impact.

Hope the govt completes it soon.

IMPORTANT: So Shiv Sena (UBT) ‘rebel’ MP Om Raje Nimbalkar says he is leaving party because ‘he needs to secure development funds’. A worst kept secret is now coming out: if you want funds for your constituency, you now have to be on the right side of the party in power. Is this how a multi party democracy is going to work? These ‘development funds’ don’t belong to any party or individual but are paid for by us the tax payers: by discriminating between parties, a terrible precedent is being set. Will CAG or any constitutional body take notice ?? 🙏 (by the way, anecdotal evidence shows that most of the funds end up as local projects to favoured contractors on commission basis).

Today is World Refugee Day.🥹💔
For many people, displacement is a chapter in history books. For Kashmiri Pandits, it is a memory that still breathes, still hurts, still waits for justice.

#TheKashmirFiles showed the world a glimpse of that pain. But those who lived through that exodus know that no film, no book, no speech can fully capture the fear of leaving your home overnight, the heartbreak of losing your roots, or the loneliness of becoming a refugee in your own country.
There are people who say that such stories should be forgotten, that old wounds should be allowed to heal. I respectfully disagree.
Some wounds must remain visible! Not to nurture hatred, but to preserve memory. Not to divide people, but to remind future generations of the price innocent people pay when humanity fails.
Remembering is not revenge. Remembering is responsibility.
On #WorldRefugeeDay, I remember every Kashmiri Pandit family that was forced to leave behind their homes, their temples, their neighbourhoods, their childhoods, and a way of life. Their story is not just a Kashmiri story. It is a human story.
May we never allow such suffering to be repeated. And may we have the courage to speak the truth, however uncomfortable it may be.
Because when memories are erased, history finds a way to repeat itself. And that is a price no generation should have to pay. 🥹💔

१४ जून या माझ्या वाढदिवसाच्या दिवशी गेली अनेक वर्ष तुम्ही सगळे जणं मला उत्साहाने भेटायला येता, शुभेच्छा द्यायला येता, येताना पुष्पगुच्छ, मिठाई, केक घेऊन येता, राज्यभर होर्डिंग्स लावता . वाढदिवसाच्या दिवशी माझ्या जवळच्या लोकांना भेटणं हे खरंच आनंददायी असतं. पण यावर्षी मी माझ्या वाढदिवसाच्या दिवशी मुंबईत नसल्यामुळे तुमची भेट होऊ शकणार नाही.

पण माझी तुम्हा सगळ्यांना विनंती आहे की माझा वाढदिवस लोकोपयोगी उपक्रमातून साजरा करा. शुभेच्छांची होर्डिंग्स लावून, शहरंच्या शहरं रंगवण्याच्या ऐवजी हा वाढदिवस जरा वेगळ्या पद्धतीने तुम्ही साजरा करावा, असं माझं तुम्हाला आवाहन आहे.

यावर्षी १४ जूनला राज्यभर फुलांची, फळांची किंवा टिकतील अशी झाडं तुमच्या परिसरात लावा. फळांची आणि फुलांच्या झाडांना उन लागत त्यामुळे त्यांना उन आणि पाणी मिळेल अशाच ठिकाणी लावा ! फळांची आणि फुलांची झाडं याकरता जेणेकरून ती दिसतातही छान आणि सर्वात महत्त्वाचं म्हणजे त्यामुळे विविध प्रकारचे पक्षी आकर्षित होतात ! बरं पुन्हा ती रस्ते रुंदीकरणात तुटली जाणार नाहीत याचीही काळजी घ्या ! झाडं लावताना ती मोठी झाडं लावा जेणेकरून ती टिकतील , बऱ्याचदा छोटी रोपं लक्ष नाही दिलं तर टिकत नाहीत! अशी झाडं नर्सरीत मिळतात, ती योग्य जागा बघून तुमच्या भागातील स्थानिकांच्या हस्ते त्यांचं रोपण करा. आणि तिथल्या स्थानिकांना विश्वासात घेऊन त्यांना देखील या नव्याने लावलेल्या रोपांची, झाडांची काळजी घेणं, त्याला पाणी घालणं या उपक्रमात सामील करून घ्या, जेणेकरून ती झाडं दीर्घकाळ टिकतील.

तसंच उन्हाळ्यातच नाही तर हल्ली अगदी जानेवारी फेब्रुवारीपासूनच प्राणी, पक्षी पाण्यासाठी वणवण फिरताना आढळतात. यावर्षी जर पाऊस कमी झाला तर पुढच्या वर्षाच्या सुरुवातीपासूनच प्राणी पाण्यासाठी वणवण फिरणार आहेत. त्यामुळे प्राण्यांसाठी, पक्ष्यांसाठी जंगलांच्या तोंडाशी, अगदी शहरांमध्ये सुद्धा भटक्या प्राण्यांसाठी पाणवठे उभारा आणि फक्त पाणवठे उभारून थांबू नका तर त्यात कायम पाणी असेल असं पहा. साधारणपणे १ ते १.५ महिन्यांपूर्वी चंद्र्पुरमध्ये प्राणी जंगलातून बाहेर येऊन शहरांत पाण्यासाठी वणवण भटकत आहेत अशी दृश्य मी पाहिली, आणि मी तात्काळ माझा चंद्रपूरमधला सहकारी मनदिप रोडेला फोन करून प्राण्यांसाठी पाणवठे करायला सांगितलं. आणि त्याने तात्काळ ते पाणवठे तयार केले. त्यामुळे असेच पाणवठे तयार करा. आणि पाणवठे असोत की वृक्षारोपण असेल, दोन्ही करताना शासकीय यंत्रणेला पण बरोबर घ्या.

यावर्षीचा उन्हाळा हा भीषण होता, आणि हवामान तज्ज्ञांचा अंदाज असा आहे की यावर्षीचा पावसाळा हा सरासरीत कमी असणार आहे. यावर्षी जर पाऊस कमी पडला तर त्याचा थेट परिणाम पुढच्या वर्षीच्या उन्हाळयात जाणवणार आहे. बरं हे एक वर्ष घडलं आणि पुढे सगळं आलबेल असेल असं नाही. सध्या राज्यात आणि देशांत वृक्षतोड्यांचं राज्य चालू आहे. त्यामुळे बेसुमार वृक्षतोड सुरु आहे. त्यामुळे कदाचित जसं प्राणिसंग्रहालयात जाऊन लहान मुलांना प्राणी दाखवायला लागतात तशी भविष्यात मुलांना झाडं दाखवायला कुठेतरी न्यावं लागेल. त्यामुळे आत्ताच्या आणि आपल्या पुढच्या पिढ्यांसाठी झाडं लावली पाहिजेत, ती जगवली पाहिजेत, कारण सध्या झाडांची जंगलं उध्वस्त करून इमारतींची जंगलं उभी करण्यातच सरकार व्यस्त आहे ! म्हणूनच हा उपक्रम आपण हाती घेत आहोत.

फक्त झाडं लावताना जसं स्थानिकांना विश्वासात घेऊन हा उपक्रम राबवा तसा तो एक दिवसाचा सोहळा होणार नाही किंवा फोटो काढून सोशल मीडियावर टाकून फक्त लाईक्स कमवले असं करू नका. आपल्याला लाईक्स आणि व्ह्यूज नाहीत तर झाडं लावून लोकांचे आणि निसर्गाचे आशीर्वाद कमवायचे आहेत.

बाकी जरी १४ जूनला भेट होऊ शकत नसली तरी लवकरच आपली भेट होईल तेंव्हा सविस्तर बोलूच.
