A point here also, in a different way, learnt by Labour in the last year: liberal England is a thing, including in Red Wall seats - it doesn’t just live in Hackney. If your entire modus operandi is trolling those voters they will find a way to punch you in the nose.

The Tommy Robinson lot, the nastiness from Restore Rupert Lowe Zia Yusuf Nigel Farage seriously puts people off. But because these lot are in their own bubble they think they are the sole arbiters of Real Britain. Sorry but no thanks.

@ThatTimWalker Stuff like public opinion and political reality genuinely doesn’t seem to be something Starmer processes like other normal people. He’s like a partner that you break up with in the morning and yet he still comes back after work like nothing happened ready for some dinner
