PLI discrimination was being reported by many leaders and unions just a few days ago.
Now suddenly the same people are busy posting “Congratulations” messages after the new model announcement.
So let’s speak the truth clearly.
Welcome to the next level of discrimination in banking.
Scale V and above may get PLI equal to 365 days,
while many Scale I-III officers may get barely 15 days.
And who are the real warriors of banking?
The branch bankers.
The people handling customers, pressure, audits, targets, cash, recovery, cross selling, complaints and endless workload every single day.
But what will branch warriors receive?
Peanuts.
Meanwhile many sitting comfortably inside AC offices will receive cashews.
This is not motivation.
This is not performance recognition.
This is the ugliest discrimination between bankers themselves.
The backbone of banking is being ignored again.
5-Day Banking: A win win for everyone. 🤝
✅ Higher Productivity

The future of finance is efficient.
#Implement5DayBanking
A rested workforce serves the public better. With staff shortages and rising stress, 5-day banking is a service-quality issue, not a “perk.” UFBU has pursued this since 2015; IBA has recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and it’s included in the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024), pending clearances.
Let’s finish what’s already agreed.

@FinMinIndia@DFS_India@PMOIndia@ChiefIba
For those who spend weeks away from their families, exhaustion is not abstract.
Tired hands can’t deliver quality service.
Banks are running with staff shortages, endless pressure, and rising stress.
5-day banking is not a luxury. It’s about dignity, health, and better service for the public.
UFBU has been fighting for this since 2015.
IBA accepted it and conveyed it to the Government.
It is already recorded in official agreements.
Yet implementation is still missing.
Promises are not meant to stay on paper.
It’s time to act.
Sadda haq itthe rakh.

#Implement5DayBanking #ImplementWhatWasAgreed
The March 8, 2024 settlement remains unimplemented, reflecting prolonged administrative delay.
What was meant to resolve issues has instead deepened uncertainty and dissatisfaction.
▶️ Staff shortages are intensifying as retirements outpace recruitment.
▶️ Inadequate manpower is increasing workload, stress, and erosion of work–life balance.
▶️ Digital banking growth has expanded responsibilities without reducing human effort.
▶️ Employees are burdened with managing both traditional and digital operations simultaneously.
▶️ Comparable institutions have moved ahead, while banks remain stuck in review mode.
▶️ The nationwide strike on 27th Jan stems from delay and inaction, not from fresh or excessive demands.
Continued indecision risks damaging morale, service quality, and long-term stability.
Approve all Saturdays off.

#Implement5DayBanking in India🇮🇳
#Implement5DayBanking is no longer a luxury, it’s a necessity. Officers and staff deserve work-life balance after years of extended hours and rising pressure. Productivity improves when employees are respected.
🔥Indian Overseas Bank Leave Policy🔥
What @IOBIndia is doing to its managers is not “policy.”
It is not “discipline.”
It is not “productivity.”
It is exploitation.
It is coercion.
It is institutionalised harassment disguised as HR.
A bank forcing employees to “earn” their basic human right to leave by meeting monthly business targets is not just unethical.
It is a modern form of bonded labour inside a government owned institution.
Look at this format:
Before an officer can take a single day off, they must submit their Savings, Current, Housing Loan, Jewel Loan targets and if they have not performed, they simply cannot go on leave.
Who came up with this medieval logic?
If performance slips, fine review it support the staff guide them.
But blocking leave because targets are not met
That crosses every boundary of decency law and humanity.
No sleep
Age catching up
Family emergency
Health issue
Mental exhaustion
None of it matters.
Indian Overseas Bank has created a culture where targets matter more than people.
This is worse than corporate pressure.
This is worse than exploitation.
This is worse than harassment.
This is state sponsored burnout inside a public sector bank.
@RBI@DFS_India@FinMinIndia If a bank believes employees are machines, then it should also accept the consequences when machines break.
#IOB needs to be held accountable for these inhuman internal practices.
Not tomorrow.
Not next year.
Now.
